Past it's prime? You do know Windows *Phone* is only a little over a year old, don't you? Or are you thinking this phone is using the old Windows *Mobile*? If so, shame on you.

For this, AT&T got an OK from the T-Mobile brass for a buyout. That didn't pass the regulatory muster so now AT&T is having to pay their agreed-upon no-go/breakup fee.

This is the ORIGINAL agreement. The agreement was AT&T buys T-Mobile for $39b and if the merger fails they would pay T-Mobile cash plus spectrum. AT&T is simply fulfilling the agreement they signed with T-Mobile. I can't see why you think that is wrong.

If I do this, will it still work as a phone? - Yes Will I be able to run this custom app? - If it runs on WinMo, yes Will I be able to post my scores via a WiFi connection if I don't have a data plan? - Wifi does not require a data plan. Does anyone have any advice? - Find out it the app requires touch-screen. I prefer touch screen anyways; it's much easier to navigate around the phone.

Bummer. Really no reason for me to change plans then. I have the 700 Family MyFaves plan for $70 which gives me unlimited already to most people I call and the $5.99 T-Zones for unlimted data on my smartphone. I only use the data for activesync and the occational browsing (rare) so I don't feel bad not paying a ton for the real data plan and I doubt T-Mo would care either if they looked at my usage. ...

My Nokia 3220 seems to be very good in sunlight. Much, much better than a razer my brother owns.

My 3220 has an annoying buzz, even when using the earpeice. It gets louder as you turn the volume up. It sounds like when you have a speaker turned up really loud with no music on. Does anyone else have this problem? It could be that I got a defective phone.

Probably the HF-3 here: http://www.nokiausa.com/nokia_accessor ies/6560/1,2224,40,00.html#HF-3 I'm going to the local store to check it out and if I like.

RAZR does not have the best reception. My old V60 has better reception, and so does my RAZR replacement, the Nokia 3220. My guess is the 6101 will have even better reception than the 3220.

I'm a network engineer and can tell you this guy is flat out wrong about WiFi interfering with GSM. And the "wireless systems at dorms" are not 100 times more powerful, that would be illegal and the FCC would be down on that faster than George 'putting food on his family' Bush can drop another bomb on Iraq.

Skip on the RAZR. I had one and sent it back because it got worse reception than my 3 year old V60. I'm now waiting for the Nokia 3220 to arrive and if I'm not happy with that one, I'm going to try the 6101.

How about the C207. The only reason I'm even considering it is because I don't really need/use the EDGE, camera, blue tooth, etc, on this phone. But if the general consensus is that the RF on the C207 does not match or exceed the V551, then I will get the Moto from CSR or a different phone off ebay.

I (actually my wife) lost my phone (Nokia 6230) and I called CSR about my options. I was told that I could get this August VIP tools offering out of these 3 phones. My question is which of these has the best reception? I've never used a samsung before, and am seeing that the C-207 gets high marks evn though it's cheaper than the E-317. With the Moto being 2-5 times more expensive than the Samsungs, I ...

It makes sense that it it's resource intensive it would only be used in emergencies (which this obviously is not). I just didnt know if it was something that they could just punch in and find out just as easy as looking up your account. Just FYI, "true digital zoom" is no better than zooming after taking a picture. I would never use digital zoom unless you can't get the images off the camera to edit (zoom/crp) them. Digital zoom results in a lower resolution image. You might be thinking of optical zoom (true zoom).

First off, let me say that I'm not EXPECTING to be treated special nor do I EXPECT to receive pricing different than is listed on the t-mobile web page. I have a V60 that I've been using for 3 years and the antenna recently broke, or half broke. I still get somewhat of a signal and the stub is hanging on by some coil. About freakin time! I had a message on my voicemail Monday saying that due to customer complaints/feedback/requests they are going to dump the text message alert system and finally offer a true message waiting indicator. Now I can look at them again. I already signed up for one Cingular account and I was about to dump my T-Mo and switch. Now I will reconsider.

OK. I just bought a Nokia 6230, which I was told was an ENS phone. It also has a 64K SIM card. Now here's my experience/question. So far it seems to lock onto Cingular towers even when there is a stronger AT&T signal in he area. There is a hallway at work that only gets 1 bar with cingular phones but full bars with AT&T GSM phones. When using my 6230 in the hallway it ...

your new sim is probably locking onto cingulars towers first. If the sim is 64K but your phone does not support ENS then it acts just like a 32K sim. That said, your old at&t sim is picking up a stronger (closer) at&t tower, and your new cingular sim picks up a weaker cingular tower. if you can, manually select the network you want to use. If may be deep in the menu somewhere. Mine is ...
