i can tell you, living in an upscale neighborhood, we dont want towers in this area nor the other areas and thats why the towers were struct down... Unless, they were in trees like the ones i have pasted in a few of the posts here... That's what was discussed during the meetings. They didnt want to do it, because that method is actually more expensive, and the carriers didnt want to do that. Plus they wanted us to ...

I agree with that point, but there are some of us majority of us, who care about their value of their homes since they put a lot of money into it or took a lot of money out of it. majority of the houses are actually up side down... since, houses are the USA's majority of the wealth, they dont want to see the "nest egg" go down because of the devalue of putting up a tower or the ...

local government can communicate regardless. they have sat phones if they like and radios. they dont need to build 5 towers in a radius of a town to get signal. You obviously live in the county where there are all farmers. if i was a farmer i would never ever allow for a tower to be in my land. That's why i like this country because people can say whatever they want and voice their opinion. We both disagree, ...

Supreme Court rulings can always be appealed. there can be massive rallies at the construction site or our congressmen could be notified. we havnt had a tower in our town for over 4+ years by any carrier. in some exclusive towns in our area there havnt been 1 tower in 10 years. I dont think an SPC action will dictate that. If it will, towns will fight it regardless.

"I rather have a tower in my backyard , lower land value and lower taxes and have coverage than, have no towers no coverage and higher taxes." wow I highly disagree with you on this. the FCC can always raise the RF power output of a tower and put them on buildings like apartments and the like or your favorite food joint. In this country, devaluation is something that home owners dont want. More importantly, less taxes equal less everything. ...

all they really have to do is power up the RF on the towers. (If they really wanted to) Of course that limit is also set by the FCC

yea they have towers like that in many areas around here. (as well as other places in the country) its a great idea. home values wont drop and it kind of looks nice.

Re: Good!!! (and bad)

It is common sense.... if people flock, money will follow. If money leaves the town becomes obsolete. if home values go down, foreclosure might be in order given the up side down on many homes. if they tapped their HELOC then that is even a bigger problem. All of those problems= less taxes. taxes= paying for schools etc... shouldnt be that far fetched.

Re: Good!!! (and bad)
May 20, 2013, 11:25 AM

because as a home owner, we care about our town's value and other things. i dont care if i have to pay more taxes as long as the value of the house goes higher and higher.. in this area, prices are always high and steady. if properties become worth less over a time, people wont come to the place then everyone will leave and then it will be problematic for the town's fiscal and financial ways.

still our towns and many cities in our area will not have cell phone towers and i know the SP disagrees but that's life. It won't happen in our exclusive areas.

I disagree but agree. I agree: so that companies can continue to provide great service, and to expand both capacity and coverage disagree: it is very harmful those RF waves, but it also devalues the town or cities' home values. They won't allow towers in this area as its a very exclusive one. Same in many towns here in MA. Do i like it? yea because it makes our town worth more.. Plus also, i still get great coverage. ----

hardly. I can get unlimited data on T-mobile and unlimited everything for $70... Verizon and AT&T are quite scared of a lower price point because they spend so much on their networks.

I agree. People dont like change especially into a bad company. We shall see what happens. Typically Sprint doesnt execute really on anything to the teeth so let's see how much they will lose of the customer base and if they can grow when they announce earnings.

Actually, just looking over the numbers, it appears they have a small USA market share gain; however, overseas Samsung is doing better than Apple. Regardless, Apple has the cash to do very well domestically or overseas.

go figure. They blamed nextel, they blamed everyone else but themselves with this mess. now they are blaming LTE network vendors. shame on them. they are the ones who picked them..... so its their fault not the vendors.. the vendors can only do so much if the parts are there... shame on sprint for doing this again. They should blame themselves!

they have domestic cash actually and they could issue bonds... as i mentioned earlier... they have a lot of resources and cash to them. you make money you pay taxes that simple. Apple doesnt have to spend the money- they can if they want to. but issuing bonds is cheaper.

they can actually tap into it but because they moved it oversees they are looking for overseas acquisitions. So yes, they do have that money if they want but they have to pay taxes on. secondly, they can issues bonds which they did earlier and will do to repay shareholders. So again, Stick to selling phones while i address value. Thanks

I think he is a good CEO.. this company cant go bankrupt when it has assets and subscribers (as well as cash). Also, DT is supporting T-mobile USA. (at least for the next 18 months) ... I like the new T-mobile. I was very impressed with the first quarter. We shall see if it continues since this business model is much better than the 2 year contract business model. We'll have to see what CPGA is.

That doesn't mean anything. Apple has more than $150 billion in cash. Google doesnt have close to that. Stock price is no indication of that. Again, just like Tbone, stick to what you know.

lots of people would.... my sources are saying that blackberry Z10 is starting to catch fire.. Little fire, but fire... they are choosing the Z10 over Apple and Google because of the OS feel. Samsung has a great product dont get me wrong but its very boring... Apple's OS hasn't changed for many years and many people are tired of them thats why some of them are switching to Blackberry but a lot of them are switching to Samsung. ...

It is much cheaper if you do the math... the rate plan alone makes it much cheaper vs those who have verizon, sprint and AT&T. if you have a classic plan and a value plan you are going to be saving some money as well. If you want to pay those installments off you may and upgrade whenever and have the opportunity to get that phone unlocked... there are benefits to having this installment plan. you save- thats the ...
