Perhaps the gun isn't the solution for all retail stores, but in a neighborhood where we have been held up at gunpoint more than once, it's time to fight back. And when you bang on the door like an ape, you should be treated as such.

I like those who insist on writing it down, and leave it laying out on the counter for all to see..... and then they leave it when they walk away..... Yeah, you almost have a brain, because all someone has to do is swipe the paper, and guess what, there goes your identity!

You should just tell them that they aren't giving YOU the SSN, they are giving the evil moneygrubbing corporate company their SSN, so that said company can repeatedly beat them over the head with large bills and destroy their credit rating. It would be awesome just to do that once and see the reaction.

In fact, once you have verified it is a whole HALF HOUR after closing, just get in your car and get the hell out. I am not going to invite you in under any circumstances. Especially if you look crazy, strange, stupid, angry, dumb, or any combination thereof. Try to understand the concept of buisness hours: ...

To add insult to injury, if the UI wasn't bad enough, then there's the OLED outer display on a phone that obviously has a focus on it's camera.... lots of people like using the camera with the phone closed, and they can't do that with this expensive pile. Sheesh.

How long have you been doing this? Seriously, I have been working this retail job for three years, and for three years I haven't had lunch while it's hot....even if I cooked it in the microwave here. As far as I can tell, it is for one of the following reasons: 1) Murphy's Law 2) People smell the food, and since they haven't eaten, they decide to breathe the fumes in your store for a little while rather than eat themselves. 3) All the ...

The truth often hurts..... People have their priorities wrong. They'd rather have cell phones than kids that are clothed and fed. The problem is, no one can do anything about it except the parents who don't care. So nothing gets done until something happens. Thinking it's drug money: it's only bad if you suggest that to the customer, or suggest it to a fellow employee within earshot of said customer...... again, the truth often hurts.

There really two major differences, the second being the memory card slot. They both are nice phones; never had any of my customers complain about them. The only complaint I have are that the keys are rather small; you still can use them, it just is a little easier to bump more than one at a time. Personally, I like the iTunes player, the card slot, and the black color with the RAZR-style keypad enough to spend on the SLVR.

You have to hack the phone.... not an easy process; not really something I would recommend. Had a friend try it on a V710, and that phone is just an expensive paperweight now....

With the exception of the writing on the keys and the displays, all the Sprint A900's I have seen are black - without any accents.... Anyone else seen the A900 in other colors? Depending on the red they use, it could look kinda cool.

They also made some bad ones.... Their CDMA phones weren't all that feature packed - most handsets were the basic, simplistic free models.

Push to Talk will not take over until the following critera are met: 1) It is inter-compatible with a majority of carriers 2) It is readily availible to customers on almost every handset 3) It is as easy or easier to use than a regular call 4) It has some sort of financial benefit over a regular call But it isn't there yet. Ease of use? Close. But all the others are not. And before you make the argument, #4 is a moot ...

If they are not planning to merge the services, why did they merge the companies in the first place? They would make a killing if they put the two together - with that wide a coverage area and that many PTT users already there..... Not to mention all the customers asking for it....

This is going to sound really strange, but here it is: Nokia has a tool to convert video to a format that Nokia and Motorola phones can use. I have also used this format with some Samsung handsets as well. I've used it with my ROKR, and have sent the videos on it via BT to both the L6 and L7 SLVR's, with no ill effects. Uh, they do have to cover other costs than just the handset. Towers are not free. Customer Service is not free. Electricity is not free. Technicians to maintain the network don't work for free. I'm sure the gov't taxes them somewhere along the line as well. So, yes, airtime is profitable, but not so much as people would like to think.
