Re: Rhapsody

To clarify the Rhapsody subscription, For the 14.99 a month you get access to unlimited "music to go", meaning anything in their library you can put on your phone(up to 3 devices). You however, cannot burn these songs unless you purchase them for 99 cents. You aren't actually purchasing the music, you are more or less renting it. Once the service is canceled, anything purchased is kept but the rest you will lose access to. Great service, but ...

in the Motorola Q9m / Q9c forum

If there is one for the q9c through verizon i would assume there would be one for the 9m. However, if you check out howardforums you'll see once sprint releases their 6.1 rom for the q9c its possible someone will be able to load it onto the q9c/m for Verizon. Nothing has been confirmed on verizon yet though so its hard to say if we'll ever see an "official" release

Nothing confirmed, but it sounds like eventually there will be a 6.1 update for it atleast through Motorola. It's really hard to say though depending on what Verizon limits

I've had several winmo phones including the i730 and I now have a Curve. Honestly I love Blackberry's, they do everything you could really ask in a phone/pda. However, my samsung i730 was honestly one of the best phones I have ever owned. I didn't have any real problems with it and I never had any freezing problems like some say they have had. If I could get a brand new i730 all over again ...

Re: Curve Reception
May 20, 2008, 7:55 AM

The curve has top notch reception. My apartment gets awful reception and I'm able to carry a full conversation without a problem in there and maintain a couple of bars at all times. I came from an HTC touch and I hardly had any reception at all along with my samsung glyde. It's worth the money. Great phone

I would not get this phone if you are a huge texter. THere are a few keyboards you can buy and download that help out but nothing beats a physical keyboard if you are a huge texter

I can attest. I just ordered the phone through 611(customer service). It took me 3 reps to get it but finally got someone to put the order through

Nope no wi-fi on the touch. But I have the data plan so I'm ok with that. I think it looks classy and I guess I'm not as picky as other people. As long as its not pink or anything. I think you have made up your mind of what you want in a phone. My vote is for the i760

It's all opinion. The best thing you can do is go into the store and play around with both of them. I had the samsung i730 and i LOVED it until I dropped it and it stopped working right. It was a great phone and I can't imagine the i760 being a bad phone. I also had the xv6700 and hated it. Lasted a few days and it was gone. They both have ...

I was in the same boat as you. I'm on verizon and just received my xv6900 a few days ago. So far i have been pretty impressed with it. I am able to push my yahoo mail through outlook on it. The touch interface is very responsive. The internet is quick for a mobile device. No phone is perfect but I would say the only negative thing I can say about this phone ...

No, he's wrong because I have and have had the nationwide plan and I still did not see it. Just make it easy on yourself and call Customer service and let them know of your company and they will process it just as easily for you

I just called customer service directly. Just dialed 611. No you do not get advanced device credit or mail in rebate. Yes you get the 20 percent feature discount which brings the unlimited data plan down. But I got mine for 269.99 no other discounts or rebates. If you order it online its 399.99 with a 50 dollar mail in rebate and 100.00 advance device credit if you sign up for the unlimited data ...

I couldn't see it on mine either. I just called customer service and ordered the phone with my company discount and was done with it. I ended up getting the phone for 269.99 with no rebates necessary.

Yes, the 6900/touch has the hardware to support rev A and as soon as Verizon launches Rev A they will release a software update for the 6900 to make it Rev A compatible. Alltel just rolled out Rev a and i'm interested to see what speeds people actually will pull down

Actually I received my touch today and you can configure mobile outlook to push email from the imap server off of yahoo. You go into messaging and click "add a new email account". Type in your email address, and your password and it automatically configures your email and you can have your email checked every 5 minutes and pushed right to your messages. Just as good as my blackberry I was using. I'm satisfied with ...

Yahoo email push

For anyone that has any experience with yahoo push email; Currently I have a blackberry pearl and use the push feature to get all my email forwarded to my blackberry and it has worked VERY well. I know there is yahoo 2 go but is ...

You have to have the basic BB web and email on this phone. They will not activate it without a data plan. They will not remove it either. So no, no way around blocking data on this.

You have 60 days to return your number to Verizon and have the ETF waived. You will be charged for ANY usage on the ATT network but will not get an ETF is you opt out before th 30 day trial Truthfully I'm just happy to have a phone thats battery lasts more than 3 hours. I can listen to music all day, push my email and talk from 8am to 10pm and still have a quarter of ...

Well I think its just the difference between GSM and CDMA. I use a blackberry curve which is Supposed to have some of the best voice quality ATT has to offer. I am completely satisfied with ATT and my new Blackberry Curve. I don't talk more than 500 minutes a month so Its good enough for me

I just switched from VZW to ATT in the minneapolis/st paul region and so far I have noticed no difference in all the areas that I use it. The only real difference is on GSM the voice quality isn't as top notch as VZW, but still clear enough to carry a conversation

I'm assuming by g3 you mean "3g" as in hspd. But..I have had experience with all 3. My coworker has the iphone and I have had a chance to use it for extended time as he has let me test it. I like it. I didn't have the q9h, but rather the q9m on Verizon. It was a piece of garbage. Nice keyboard, decent screen but the thing was SLOW and always froze up. I havent had a chance to play around with the q9h but it appears to be an ok phone. The blackjack II is supposed to be a great phone

Nope, you can use the same plan. I advise against this phone though. I loved it at first but honestly, its clunky and there are much nicer smaller pdas you can get. This one is overkill. I use a blackberry curve now. I love it

Re: Just switched from Verizon

Luckily I don't travel overseas so I shouldn't have to worry about that. So far even though its only been a day and maybe 15 calls, I have not noticed any difference between the quality of verizon and ATT. Infact, I would say they are right on par with eachother. The curve however. is showing me what I was missing on Verizon. This blackberry is badass. Love it

Got my free curve today:)
Jan 8, 2008, 8:47 PM

Well, major props to ATT. I got my curve for FREE and then on top of that they offered me free 2 day shipping, well only took 1 day! Activation of everything was a breeze since its just a sim card. I'm happy with the coverage and call quality. I held a full conversation from work to home and didn't notice any quality drop through the whole conversation. Edge is a tad slow, but ...

You can have data block, but it will block MMS as well. You will still be able to send SMS. I was using a q9m and an i730 for a while without data and just using wifi for the i730. It works without a problem. But like I said you will lose the ability to send/receive MMS. Other than that its simple
