Last year, Microsoft launched Azure Mobile Services, a cloud backend for mobile applications. But at the time, it only supported Windows 8, and the team then added iOS and Windows Phone 8 support a short while later.Starting today, Android users can also connect their apps to Azure Mobile Services and use the platform to store their structured data, use its user authentication tools and send out push notifications.

More than half, or 58 percent, of the total 56 billion smartphone app downloads expected this year will be Android apps, while Apple iOS will account for 33 percent. Microsoft's Windows Phone will have a share of slightly less than 4 percent and BlackBerry will see 3 percent.

The monthly data consumption of Android owners was 2.07 GB in November 2012, while iPhone owners consumed 1.05 GB of mobile data. This is an interesting constrat to mobile voice and SMS consumption patterns. Android users had 6% lower mobile voice and 30% lower SMS volumes during the same month

Hi,I have HTC desire v with android v4.0.3 .I use college WiFi connection to connect to internet.The problem is that proxy settings are used.The default browser and play store work but other applications like youtube do not work.Also,the YouTube videos do not play in browser.Is there any way I can use these applications through proxy without rooting?

In a survey of 4,000 US consumers 18 and older in the last quarter of 2012. Internet-connected devices being counted in the survey were desktops and laptops with broadband devices, smartphones, tablets, video game consoles, HDTVs directly connected, Blu-ray players and boxes for streaming media — like a Roku. The report says that U.S. homes boast 425 million internet-connected devices compared to a population of 315 million. A recent report from independent analyst Flurry, claims that 17.4 million new iOS and Android devices were activated on Christmas day. Furthermore, a staggering 328 million apps were downloaded on the same day.

I saw a news yesterday which said that iPhone surpass Android in U.S. smartphone sales. Is it true or just rumor? I forget the link of the news. So I am not so sure is it the latest news.
