A Web video provider reported on Monday that two thirds of mobile-based traffic seen on its network originate from Apple's iPhone, while Android devices accounted for roughly one third.

Android to take 58 percent of smartphone apps
More than half, or 58 percent, of the total 56 billion smartphone app downloads expected this year will be Android apps, while Apple iOS will account for 33 percent. Microsoft's Windows Phone will have a share of slightly less than 4 percent and BlackBerry will see 3 percent.

Android proxy problem...
Hi,I have HTC desire v with android v4.0.3 .I use college WiFi connection to connect to internet.The problem is that proxy settings are used.The default browser and play store work but other applications like youtube do not work.Also,the YouTube videos do not play in browser.Is there any way I can use these applications through proxy without rooting?

U.S. population outnumbered by internet-connected devices
In a survey of 4,000 US consumers 18 and older in the last quarter of 2012. Internet-connected devices being counted in the survey were desktops and laptops with broadband devices, smartphones, tablets, video game consoles, HDTVs directly connected, Blu-ray players and boxes for streaming media — like a Roku. The report says that U.S. homes boast 425 million internet-connected devices compared to a population of 315 million. The breakdown of the devices are:
