You can check here (it's not listed): http://www.bvrpforums.com/mptlookup/ W755 isn't listed yet, but customer service told me that MPT v5.0.6 and later works with W755. I haven't tried it myself yet.

Verizon tells them where to put everything...it's not a Motorola UI design.

I'm using Backup Assistant with my Ve and it works fine from what I can tell!

Re: 2gb memory card
Apr 27, 2007, 10:39 AM
in the Motorola RAZR maxx Ve forum

The phone has to read the memory card contents from a specific folder structure (Verizon UI requirement, surprise, surprise). So, the phone will create these folders on your card automatically, but the card has to be empty first. You should copy the card contents to your PC, erase the card, place it back in the phone and power on the phone. You can now move the content back to the card with either windows media player ...

Apr 26, 2007, 9:20 AM
in the Motorola RAZR maxx Ve forum

I've seen this comment before on Howard Forums too. The fact that Get It Now works on some phones and not others is definitely not a SW defect in the phone otherwise none of the Ve's would work. My guess is that when you switch service from an ESN phone to the Ve (uses the new 14 digit MEID number) apparently the voice call service switches without a glitch, but the Customer Service people don't realize that ...

Apr 25, 2007, 2:43 PM
in the Motorola RAZR maxx Ve forum

I think just like everything else, the Verizon UI has changed the way the RSSI bars are displayed versus what the old MOT UI phones did. My phone gets great reception at my house where I used to drop calls all the time with other Mot's and LG's. I haven't used this phone enough to draw any real conclusions, but from what I've seen the RF is excellent.

I haven't used a KRZR, so I don't have first hand experience, but the battery capacity on KRZR and Ve are about the same I think. The Ve might be a little worse since it has more features and bigger displays I would guess.

I have VZ Access Manager working with my Ve. What version do you have? Mine says 5.9.2 in the help menu.

I don't have a mac, so I can't comment on iSync, but I have been able to pair this phone to my PC and use OPP to push content from my phone to the "Bluetooth Exchange Folder" on my pc and I've also been able to use OBEX to copy music files directly to the internal memory and the memory card. IT WORKS!!!

I hear February too. One of our regional guys has a Ve for the Verizon trial. I'll see it next week...this may be my next phone too if it looks as good as Razr with all those new features.

The posts on this thread are ridiculous! If you want to debate Cingular vs. Verizon, then take it elsewhere! Want to know something about this Mot Ve phone...Cingular isn't getting it and Verizon is going to have a huge advantage!! Worried about the Verizon UI?...yes, it has that too, but you can also push files from the phone to your PC with Bluetooth and copy file from the phone with FTP!! Re: MotoRazr Maxx CDMA?
Aug 2, 2006, 12:24 AM

you guys are ruthless. I'm sorry I wasn't more specific, but Mot announced this 3G phone that looks like the black RAZR on steroids with all the features that everybody complained weren't in the original. http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/maxx/ C heck it out for yourself. I'm just wondering if there is going to be a version of this phone for Verizon...I haven't heard anything about it.

MotoRazr Maxx CDMA?
Jul 26, 2006, 12:55 AM
in the Verizon forum

Anyone know if there is a CDMA version of the MotoRazr CDMA? I'm guessing the fact that there is no press release means they can't get all those features into an EVDO & GPS CDMA phone yet? I guess the K1m that was announced is Mot's only really new phone for Verizon this year, but it looks too narrow to me. And it lacks the stereo bluetooth (I can't wait for this), high resolution display, 2.0 ...

What's a V276
Jul 26, 2005, 9:05 AM
in the Motorola V265 / V266 / V276 forum

I saw a Verizon add for a V265/V276. Anybody know what a V276 is? We don't have them at Radio Shack, so I haven't seen any.

Re: Anybody seen V262-2?
Jul 20, 2005, 9:45 PM
in the Motorola V260 / V262 forum

All of them are -2's right now because they fixed some speaker problem...they just referred to them as version 2 to tell before and after the fix. I don't think anybody actually changed the model number of the phone because the design looks the same to me and all the boxes are still the same. USC didn't show up on this site until last, so maybe they never even got the crappy version.

Jul 20, 2005, 9:42 PM
in the Motorola V260 / V262 forum

It seems like it would break...but it doesn't...you really just rip it off. Start from the nose of the phone and get your finger tips between in the inside and outside plastic pieces, and pull off the outer one. It's just held on by snaps.

this phone isn't too bad, but the E815 is much better if you can find one. It's more expensive, but still a bargain in my opinion.

Shleeban, I can't believe you are calling somebody an idiot when you obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about. This phone has not been recalled and it doesn't have a software problem. I do see a lot of the first units returned for problems with the speaker, but we have a service notice from Motorola that explains how to fix the problem and all the recent phones we've sold haven't had any problems at ...

Re: v265 Power On button - problem?
Jul 1, 2005, 10:10 PM
in the Motorola V265 / V266 / V276 forum

I work in a retail store and have noticed that this happens. I'm suprised that you have 1 that doesn't do it, because I think every phone I've tried does that. I don't think it's a defect but just a quirk, but obviously if it doesn't power up right when you hold the button, you should return it.

Re: weird time display issue
Jun 28, 2005, 2:35 PM
in the Motorola V265 / V266 / V276 forum

I think the problem is that the phone doesn't have it's own clock. Meaning, it depends on the network communication to update the right time. So, apparently the analog area you are in does not suppose this clock update. That's why it fixes itself when you get back to a digital area. Most other Verizon phones won't have this problem because they don't support analog...but, then, THEY DONT SUPPORT ANALOG.

The sound quality is actually pretty good relative to other more expensive phones, so you may have a dud. It would be worth returning for that since it's not likely to get any better.

The V710 had a camera skew proble, not the V265. I think the person you talked to was confused because the V265 doesn't even have bluetooth.

I haven't heard of a bad batch of phones on the V265 at all, but you should be able to find it at Circuit City or Radio Shack if your Verizon store doesn't have it. Verizon still has it online.

Re: Is memory shared for ringtones and contacts?
Feb 16, 2005, 4:41 PM

ALLTEL & US Cellular let you transfer files to/from the V262. Verizon has it locked out on the V260 and V265.

Re: Sync with MS Outlook- does it work (well enough to bother)
Feb 1, 2005, 10:08 AM
in the Motorola V265 / V266 / V276 forum

If you are a Verizon customer, then you can't transfer files because Verizon wants more of your money to use their network. If you get a phone from US Cellular or ALLTEL, then they have it unlocked so you can transfer files.

You can set a default number, but that's just the number that shows up in your contacts if you have it set to show primary number only (then you scroll left or right to see the others). When voice dialing, the phone asks you "which number" and you can say work, mobile, home, etc.

You should just be able to press the speakerphone button to turn it on mid-call. Remember to press and hold it a second, it has a delay so that your side-buttons dont accidentally get pushed.

Obviously not every phone has that problem otherwise we would have heard about it before you saw this problem. Keep in mind that it's a new phone, return yours for a new one, and if it's really a problem I'm sure that Motorola will fix it. Your User Review doesn't say anything about the phone's value other that you happened to be one of the small percentage that got a defective one.

I'm not sure if you're willing to experiment, but you could try backing up your phonebook, then using "Master Clear" in the Initial Setup menu. I'm not sure if it'll work...but I'm curious to know.

Re: Speakerphone option question
Dec 9, 2004, 5:17 PM
in the Motorola V265 / V266 / V276 forum

The always on means when you turn it on, then all calls will be with the speakerphone on until you choose to turn it off (default). 20 sec timeout means that after you turn it on, it will turn off automatically in 20 seconds if you're not using it. This second option is if you're worried about answering a call and finding that you accidentally left the speakerphone on.

I saw that problem reported on the forum and got one phone returned to the store. When I played with it, I was able to get the switch to work by pushing on it, so I don't think it's software. I would return it for a new one if I were you because it probably won't get better or get fixed with new software, unless you can make it start working by pushing on it.
