Re: Thinking of switching

Thanks for both of your inputs. I was thinking about taking advantage of that 30-day trial. So far so good, I don't think I ever had to call customer service for any of phones that I had (and I had Cellular One, At&T, Sprint, Nextel, and Verizon). Hopefully if and when I do get Cingular, I will have the same luck. But I will definitely keep viojay in mind if I have to. I ...

Thinking of switching
Jul 24, 2006, 9:21 PM
in the AT&T forum

I think that I am a soon to be ex-Verizon subscriber. I wanted to get a general idea from everyone about call quality/reception/service from Cingular. I borrowed my mothers phone (she has Cingular), and it get full reception in areas where I got no reception from Verizon. I live in the Boston area, but I often travel to Miami, Chicago, San Juan, and San Diego. So if I can get any input from people in ...

Should I buy one? Need an expert.

I may soon be a ex-Verizon subscriber, due to getting less and less reception. I read all about UMTS/HSPDA and was quite interested at the fact that Cingular has (or will have) similar technology as most areas of the world. Is it worth it getting this phone, or should I wait and just stick with an GPRS/EDGE currently offered by Cingular.

Availability?

Wondering if there is anyone out there that knows when exactly this phone is coming out. I was going to wait till the end of this week for the LG CU500 through Cingular, but I guess I can wait a little longer for this one. I would think that Cingular would most likely get it. Thanks!

I maybe interested. I had a 9900 and it got destroyed, and I ended up taking a friends old "un-named" phone. How much?

I just wanted to know if anyone has had problems with removing the charger out of the car. It takes some effort to put it in, and I am worried that one of these days that I am going to pull the whole thing out.

Will Sanyo Phones Ever be Available on Other Carriers?
Apr 21, 2005, 7:45 PM
in the Sanyo forum

I was a Sprint PCS customer a few years ago, before I switched over to Nextel and now I currently have Verizon. I switched because my reception was shakey in most areas (Nextel was worse!). A few of my friends who have Sprint have Sanyo phones, and I will admit that I am quite impressed with them. Verizon, so far, has good area coverage, but the phones are only so-so. So I am asking anyone ...

What is all this commotion with the Motorola V710? If the Kyocera KX2 is really that bad, I really doubt if the V710 is any better. A couple of my co-workers have got the Motorola not too long ago, and ended up exchanging it for another phone because the it gave them problems. I was interested in the V710 back when it came out at the end of the summer, and was recommended not to get ...

VZN Phone Insurance??

To anyone reading this....Would it be worth it to get one of insurance plans? I'm still debating whether I should get it or not. Thanks for any input/suggestions!

If you click on the link for the manual that MrBillShow provided, you will see that there is a button on the side of the phone that lets you perform functions with the swivel closed. Everyone should definitely check it out! I like the phone much better now!

I agree. Verizon is one of the best service providers, but compared to the others, they not only have a poor selection, but they seem to have the generic models of phones. I just hope that sometime this month, for the holidays, that Verizon get a whole bunch of new phones. I'm surprised that they are not competitive with Cingular, AT&T, and T-Mobile. They have a way better selection!

Re: When is this phone coming out for VZW!!!???

I was about to say, they would usually list those phones as "out of stock". But they totally pulled them off the site. Perhaps you're right, maybe those phones have some type of bugs. I heard a lot of people complaining about the Motorola V710, which would make sense in this situation. But a lot of people love the Audiovox 9900, therefore leaving me confused.

I totally agree with you. I've been waiting for it all summer, thinking that it would be out either at the end of August or September. Now I think that it would be out for December (hopefully). I really want to get rid of my old phone with Nextel. So as soon as the Koi comes out, I'm getting it. P.S. I noticed that on the VZN site, the V710 is no longer listed, as ...

Now that the 9900 is dead and buried, does anyone know if a newer one is coming out? If so, what is the model #, and would Verizon get this phone? :)

I hope its at the beginning of November. I really want to dump my current phone/service. I will be pissed if it comes out in mid-November. Otherwise I might get the Audiovox.

Thanks for the info. You are right about two things: First, I should take advantage of the 15 day worry free guarantee (totally forgot about that!), and second "a cell phone is meant for calling, not taking pictures." I was just thinking the other night about the new Audiovox, or even the Samsung. I might go down as far as the regular Nokia phone. I also thought about the fact that camera phones are not ...

Thanks for the input. I probably should have said that there have been more complaints with the LGs.....user friendliness, battery power, programming, etc. Though, I will admit that I like their designs and features. That would be cool if you can send me some sample pictures. Thanks!

Considering Verizon and the KOI
Oct 12, 2004, 10:22 PM
in the Kyocera Koi KX2 forum

I currently have Nextel, and of course a Motorola phone. My contract is up and I am seriously thinking about switching to Verizon. I get really spotty reception, and I really don't use the direct connect feature. Also, although the phone is OKAY, it is pretty thick, not really user friendly, and might as well have no features. My last service provider was with Sprint PCS and I had the Kyocera QCP-3035. I got ...
