I'm insanely good at candlepin bowling for some reason. I only go once every few years but throw down stupid numbers. Last time I was out I bowled a 380 triple - so averaged 125+ over 3 strings. I don't know why. I don't particularly like bowling and I've only been out maybe 5 or 6 times in the last 15 years but I guarantee you if I went out tomorrow I'd at least roll a 330 ...

"pseudo intellectuals who speark to try to sound smart and don't really know what they are talking about" "people who say they will meet you at a place and are more than 15 min late without contacting you." You would hate me.

"nothing special about Reagan and the CIA funding the Mujahadeen" Ok. "This was in news articles, buddy" inb4 I'm not your buddy, friend. Anyway, you can't just point to widely known and documented conspiracies as if they somehow lend credibility to all conspiracies. Yes the training/arming of the mujahadeen against the Russians is pretty well documented. "The CIA refer to what happened with bin Laden as blowback." Yup. "In that case, a blowback that was permitted on 9/11." You just went full retard son. This ...

Even if I sat here and agreed with you completely about something like the JFK assassination. You would still have all your work in front of you yet to prove that this was a conspiracy vs an accident.

I suppose. Some people have trouble dealing with the randomness of existence. Humans are pattern seeking animals after all and the idea that a plane can just ****ing crash and no one can even recover it is probably a little too heavy for some people to deal with. But at some point you have to shake your head and take a step back and think about it reasonably.

To what end? Why would you believe in some overly convoluted explanation that requires dozens if not hundreds of other citizens to be completely complacent in the murder or at least kidnapping of hundreds of people. Why on earth would this seem more reasonable than a series of explainable and reasonable events led to this plane crashing in unknown parts of a vast ocean?

It's hardly a penalty to them and to anyone who is civilized it comes across at best as a witch hunt or more likely as unnecessary cruelness. I wonder what happens to the assets of the people if they are found guilty? Is it something they forfeit? There are a lot of angles where this just doesn't make a whole lot of sense and it's pretty standard practice to not send geriatrics to prison in the West so these ...

I've been on this forum since 2005. Between 2005 and 2012 I was on here nearly daily. I stopped for the reasons I outline in my first post. People might say there is a tide but there isn't. The lounge spent over 7 years dwarfing the activity of other forums than it wained and it hasn't returned to anything approaching it's former activity. This forum has been a ghost town for almost two years now. The ...

Bill Nye is a constant disappointment in almost any kind of point/counter point scenario. Be it a formal debate or even as a guest on a talk show. I like the guy he just doesn't do his best work in a live format. You're right to point out that this type of debate was almost certainly going to be a loss for Nye even if he was the most coherent and convincing of the two. Ham is ...

The lounge never had a tide. From 2005 to about 2012 it was easily the most active forum here. Rich banned everyone until there was literally nothing of value left and the lack of interesting discussion caused old members to not return and new members not to bother.

Tor is sort of different from a proxy, it's a layered encryption that uses a volunteer network to move info around as opposed to just a hub. You can 'open yourself up' by inadvertently making yourself part of this volunteer network as opposed to just piggy backing on it.

I've used Tor. Pretty easy to set up but could potentially open yourself up if you swap some options around unknowingly. Deepweb is something different. It's mostly just a tangled mess of counter-culture stuff. Some real, some fake, some intended to trap people doing illegal things. I'd be suspect of someone who openly talks about accessing deepweb as if it hasn't been the main hub of child porn and snuff **** for the last few years.
