I am in need of a new phone and I'm going to switch to AT&T (their LTE network out here in Dallas is just unreal. I pulled 58 Mbps the other day at my apartment with a demo phone), but can't decide on the phone.
I like the GS3, but I'm leaning towards the One X (it's more in my price range and I've heard the camera quality is better).
Any horror stories out there ...

I just don't think it aligns with Google's business model. Google has always been about providing free services that cost businesses/advertisers money.
Motorola and Google
I don't think Google wants to go down the road of manufacturing hardware. That's just so antithetical to all things Google. I wouldn't be surprised if they kill off the Motorola brand entirely.

I don't disagree with you on the interface of ads within facebook. I know that fb won't become a giant with its current model. I just have faith that they will grow up and figure it out. Zuckerberg shouldn't be in charge, honestly. He should be the figurehead of the company and let the big boys put the business pants on. I'm curious to see what happens and what mergers take place. Who knows? Maybe Amazon will buy fb ...

I'm very aware of the big dogs and their revenue and profit figures. Hell, Exxon makes more in NET profit than Google makes in revenue. Pretty legit.

You have to be patient with fb. They are in such an infant stage right now (along with Google). Their revenue model isn't well defined, you're right, but give it time. They have so much user information at their fingertips.
Exxon and Wal-Mart have virtually zero chance. I don't see commodoties as boosting a company to a trillion. They will stay at ...

No. Apple is hardware. There is an absolute hard limit. For example, the entire smartphone/tablet industry is worth $219 billion (US market). That is it between all the manufacturers. Even with Apple TV, iPods, iPads, Macs, etc., Apple will peak out eventually. Google is in such an infant stage right now. Just wait; it will burgeon, along with facebook, into a supergiant. Ten to twenty years from now, Apple will be small fry.

Dude, don't be like every other investor. Facebook is not a short term investment. If I were to have bought fb stock, I wouldn't even think about touching it for at least five years. The future of advertising is location and demographic based ad placement. Google, fb and many other tech giants are already building up a trove of data on their users in order to provide better, more effective ads. Facebook just has the edge on everybody, because ...
