I've been very happy with Opera Mini 4. might be worth looking into as a great free webbrowser.

1. Yes now that it is loaded with Windows Mobile 6 2. No, you can use Wifi w/o a data plan. 3. I am unsure but would assume you would be fine on Wifi, I don't use IM on my phone currently. 4. There are several. htc wiki-Dash FAQ will lead you to most, mobiletopsoft as well.

If you do a search, there is a program by Surreal Networks that will do this for you. It's a dangerous propostion though. If you overclock too high, you'll burn out your processor and even slight overclocking can cause the processor to burn out faster than it's traditional life span. Good luck. I've read numerous accounts of a smoking phone and phones bricked overtime even by doing it correctly but getting too aggressive.

I am just guessing here but have you tried a hard reset of the phone? It may be a glitch that corrects when fully reset...you'd have to make sure you back up all your data elsewhere though but it may be worth a try to see. If not, I'd try searching on howardforums or xda-developers to see if they have a better technical answer. (THIS IS WHAT T-MOB TECH SUPPORT WILL ADVISE YOU TO DO) MASTER RESET ...

Here's my take after a year with the Dash. 1. The keyboard is a little small for some but the key's are 'bubbled' so once you get comfortable with that, then typing is actually a little quicker than any other keyboard I've had in the past. 2. It lagged a bit with WM5 but now recently upgraded to WM6 and that has been remedied. One thing I have done to speed things along is turn the volume bar into a quick ...

UPDATE: Sorry it's been so long since I last replied, haven't checked in on this site in a while. I've recently upgraded to WM6 and am digging the new features...using htcwiki's dash Faq I was able to successfully rehack the features I wanted on my phone. For the email I am now trying out the Windows live push function that was added (forwarding my current email accounts to my hotmail to take advantage). I also ...

I don't use exchange but am using both gmail and my corporate account with t-zones. I set them up w/o a domain entered, just the incoming and outgoing server addresses (ie. pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com) No different than my settings in Outlook. Hope that helps.

Re: H500 BT headset doens't work on Dash

You may have already tried this on yours but with my tekkeon BT headset, the phone will not read it the first time when it is turned on. What I have to do instead is set the BT HS to a 'recieve' mode that is specific to initial set up (for mine this means holding down the power switch for 10-15 seconds until both lights on the HS are flashing instead of one being solid for power on). ...

Wi Fi question...

Ok, this may sound like an stupid question to those of you familiar with the newer tech out there now. I am unfamiliar with how the wi-fi works. I currently use a sony p910i with tzones for my email/net access. I am strongly considering the dash for the wifi access IF I would be able to use the wifi feature to access the phones internet/email capabilities (granted on an open network) w/o the need for the upgraded internet plan ...

I have been an ATT client s/ October 2004 and have been pleased w/ the service but have considered fully transferring the contract over to cingular and upgrade from my Motor V505 to the V551. I'm in the Twin Cities metro and would like to see how a cingular client is faring for reception in this area. I've only found difficulty in office buildings this far with ATT whereas T Mobile had no problems with that in ...

How does this phone perform with reception in regards to being in city office buildings? Also, how well does the ear piece work for loud driving conditions, does it have strong volume?
