That 950 does look pretty sweet... As does the 970. I have the A610 so that 970 is like an insane version of my pretty basic phone.

Yes i know, but cellular service is only cellular from the cell phone to the nearest tower, the rest of the connection is landline.

Caller ID is dependent on the phone service in the area. If it doesnt support Caller ID, it will come up that way.

As far as i know its a "jog" button for MP3s. Im curious about the other buttons. The phonescoop pic shows a "menu" and "headphones" button, while VZW internal pics show those buttons as "Play" and "stop". Anyone know which buttons are the ones on the released model?

There are two issues here. Outsourcing in general, and outsourcing outside the US. Plenty of companies hire outsource agencies within the US as well.

Thats just false. No roam indicator = VZW owned tower Flashing roam indicator = Extended network (i.e. someone else's tower contracted to be used by VZW customers) Solid roam indicator = Roaming. On the new plan this would only happen outside the US. On the old plan you would be charged roaming for this call.

Phones with GIN are contracually obligated (as far as i know) to have the OBEX disabled. As long as the phone doesnt have GIN, OBEX isnt a problem.

ESN changes are only charged a fee if you have someone else do it for you. If you log onto VZW.com and access your account, you can change your ESN over and over without any charge. Enjoy.
