V3M Ringtones, MPT, WMP 10, and TF Card ?
8O Wow, this place is a lot quieter than the v710, but I need help. How can I use some old mp3 ringtones, convert them to wma's and get them to work on this V3M. I have Mobile Phone tools up to date, Windows MP10,11. I can play these in MY Tunes, but won't show up as ringy's. Do I have to hack this phone like the v710?????

Looking foward to the hacks myself, :o Hope I can remember how to seem edit, and have the software from when I did the V710. I had to manually put in my contacts cause I still can't get the V3m to show up on the computer/MPT v4.4. I hope alot of the guru's from the V710 join this forum.

Thanks for the links :D I also found some links on ebay that clip on,, I'm getting the Mossy Oak for myself,, and I'll wait a little while for the wifes V3m in pink. I wonder how the clip on cover might interfear with belt clips though :?

Ok. sorry,, I read all threads here and found out to install manually. So any one with a Canon camera USB cable,, it works. :D

I had the same prob. Read the new NE2 blurb@ VW. Rant an rave to customer sevc. and threaten to drop service.. It worked for me and got $100 off :D
MPT Can't detect V3m V4.4
Trying to transfer phonebook from V710 to new silver V3m. Using a cable from my Canon S30 camera, WinXP detects and installs Moto modem. MPT cant detect the phone. Me doing something wrong or cable NG ???? PS plugged directly to back of PC and latest MPT

I'm getting the V3m w/NE2. I'm sure with alot of the settlement people getting these,, a hack is just around the corner. 8) I hear ya though, I'm gonna miss my hacked v710.

:cry: I let the papers sit on my desk and never sent in my claim. Sounds like you folks are having a "good" time exchanging your phones and getting some cash. Besides the fact I liked my Dave Modded 710,, I'm up for NE2. What phone should I consider? looking at the Razr v3c and e815. thnx

I just got my 3rd 710 and was pissed they snubbed the TF move. So with the help of Phone-tech and others on this forum I was able to edit the seem, and also upgraded to ver 3.25b on MPT. Thanks to all of you and SD for the hard work. 1 Last req. would be to find the deluxe ver. of MPT so I can use the media and ringtone functions on MPT. Wahoo for you guys!

OK got another 710 [third one now ] and it has the new software from vw. I can't move ringtones to phone via T-flash card. What is the seem edit? or should I flash the phone with the hacked software P.S. can some point me to the latest Hack SW.

Thanks sponge , thats what I have been doing. I just checked the files in 710 and now they ARE working :D . Does it take a while to transfer, and should I shut off phone before inserting TF. TIA

Sponge, I formatted TF in phone, and used the drag and drop method in windows explorer to copy files. I'm putting files in moto/shared/ringtones or /pics. is this correct?

Got a 128mb tf from best buy $34.99 and card reader from officemax free after rebate. Formatted card and No probs with computer transfering .mids .jpegs .wavs etc. when I try to use files in 710 they are not complete. eg only a couple of kb. this includes pics and audio. what me doing wrong! PS when I view files on computer of tf they work fine.
