Best customer experience?

We all have customers we cant stand or that grate our nerves but have any of you had a really good customer that just makes you smile that day ? A few days ago I had the pleasure of helping this really nice gentleman. He was so sweet that I was willing to bend over backwards to help him despite the fact that he didnt buy his original stuff from me. He came in very unassuming and smiled the whole ...

I'm hearing this too much

I understand that people like using unlocked phones from various places on cheap plans... What I don't understand is why they want to waste the reps time asking why their phone isn't working or can they get assistance with it? Their go to response seems to always be ..."but I have your service so why can't you help?". /;| I have heard it so much lately I barely open my mouth to give a response anymore.

I hate that speech people give. For a whole week ( no exaggeration) there was at least 2 ppl a day who would say that to someone on shift. It got me so annoyed I asked the customer to please look around while I helped the next willing customer. /;| /;| He asked me why, and I told him that I have to explain my time to the company, and if this " other " company was ...

Working in retail has somewhat affected how I look at certain types of customers and how they get dealt with. For example: Customer: You speaka da esaponal? (thick spanish accent) Me: No how can I help you ? Customer: speaka espanol? Me: Nonone does... Paying bill? Customer: (customer rattles on in spanish) Me: (after typing in to google translate what do they need help with) Customer:oh yes bill Me: Number? Customer: Jose sapata Me: Number??? Customer: *shrugs* Me: :( (a few minutes go by of more spanish I dont understand) ...

Cust Care Attitude as of lately

in the Shop Talk forum

For those who work in customer care let me start by saying this: I know your job is very hectic and too many times to count I have seen ( rather heard ) you guys patiently and politely talk down and explain things to customers and ignorant store reps. You guys deserve alot of respect and money. HOWEVER........... For the past month I have talked to the most downright disrespectful a%%h@le reps. And the kicker is that they are outsourced. ...

You shouldn't have been cooing on the phone to whomever you were talking to for 45 minutes while sitting and stuffing your face with Wendys. When the customer came in you should have walked over and talked to them since you had "dealt" with them before. You also should have answered every ...

I dont think Fredd is wrong. A customer should be told not to go back to the indirect dealers who screwed them over. If it was a corporate store who screwed up I think an indirect dealer like yourself would have every right to say the same thing. Which by the way, I am happy to meet you! ( No sarcasm meant). Its very rare by my location to meet honest authorized retailers, so I am glad ...

:D Agreed. We tell majority of our customers not to EVER go to the indirects. Not all are bad but the ones near me are terrible. If they still go then they are S*@t out of luck b/c we dont touch it with a ten foot pole. We give them this face /;|, and then this face  when they demand help. Then we show them the door

To the last customers of the night, I serve up not one but TWO middle fingers to you. You have come to our store before so you know the drill and what time we close. Dont think I didnt notice you start think up some more questions to ask to prolong being kicked out. The fact that you looked at me in disbelief when i turned away some last minute customers didnt make me feel bad at all. ...

May 14, 2012, 9:32 PM

Your right for part of your statement, that if there is something wrong then it is part of the job. But in cases like what I described its not. Most Corporate stores only help if its something another corporate store did. Anything a indirect dealer does, be it right wrong or sideways, isnt something we fix. Or are required to either. That is between the customer, the indirect dealer, and maybe customer care (whose primary job ...

My store is within the vicinity of at least two indirect dealers. On a monthly basis ( although things have calmed down quite a bit) my store gets customers coming in with issues or outright fraudlent things done on their bill or account and wanting us to fix it. Some of these customers know better but they go to these shady dealers anyway and then try to come boohoo crying to us. For the most part, no ...

I am sorry to hear all of that. But I like your drive and that you work through it without whining. I have a co-worker who calls out for a hangnail and just ditches work all the time.Sometimes are valid but about 90% she is just calling out. The way I view it, this will backfire on Tmobile regardless. Although the company is saying that they will allow them to transfer, that doesn't mean that all those reps are guaranteed a position. They will give the assistance, a severance package, and some healthcare benefits but ultimately they are getting the boot. Unfortunately for customers and frontline reps, they still have a very large majority of these customer care positions being outsourced to places where you ...

I know your questions requests an answer from ATT employees ( which I am not) but I may have insight for you. From what I have heard within earshot of several mangers, they dont like getting call center transfers because they consider it a hassle to have to "retrain" the individual from dealing with over the phone customers, to full frontal hands on customers. From what I recall hearing there was a rep who once was a bit ...

Actually in this type of business one department cannot do without the other successfully for long. Now before anybody gets all huffy let me explain. I work in a store and every week we get customer care reps ( based in the good ole USA) who tell customers complete and utter crap. We have been on a phone call with a customer where customer care has told a customer " yea, just go to a store they can ...

a couple of weeks ago I accidentally slipped up and said to a customer " B%#@h you buggin', I said no" . I didnt even realize it until she came in today and wouldn't even look me in my face. One of my coworkers told me I kinda scared and shocked her with what I said. I didn't even realize I said it out loud  . So what about you guys?
