Re: USCC Windows Phone 8 - Which Phones are Coming?
Only one has made any form of an appearance in our inventory systems/activations systems and that's the HTC 8S. Been there for a little over a month now.
Re: Black Friday Deal?
Our Black Friday promotion started yesterday. S3 is $199.99 instantly for the 16GB in white/blue, and $249 for the 32GB White. The Note went from $399 with $100 MIR to $299 instantly. This runs through the end of the week.
Disclaimer: We have recieved word that there may be an emergency sale adjustment the night of Thanksgiving, but it's highly unlikely. The prices as they are now are what they're going to be.
Re: The beginning of the end...
Here you go. Doesn't support US Cellular. https://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.p hp?a=11127
Re: 2 Questions
Also, I doubt that we'd drop our "National Carrier" tagline just because our partner roaming agreements aren't going anywhere for the forseeable future. Just because the midwest isn't going to be a home market anymore doesn't mean that USCC customers won't have service.
Re: 2 Questions
We serve close to 6 million customers nationwide, and the deal just struck involves ~585,000. I would say "Only losing half a million!" but looking at it relatively that's actually quite a bit.
Re: The beginning of the end...
Would be a nice truth, except that the CMDA varients of Apple's iPhone 5 are not compatible with the LTE deployed by King Street Wireless. If I'm not mistaken, we're one block off. No way Apple would hardware refresh the CDMA varient to launch on USCC.
Re: What is happening to us cellular???
So sorry to hear this. The sad part about it; You're right. My company has lost the focus which made it what it is today. Now I work for an Agent in the retail channel, and I can tell you that should you ever happen back across US Cellular down the road, Agents are who you want to deal with. Corporate/Retail stores don't seem to care anymore, they have long waits, the employee's are burned out, and their payrates ...
Re: 3 more days to go til the SGS3 is OFFICIALLY announced!!!!
inb4 non-removable battery.
(We all know it's going to happen, and I for one have no issues with this.)
Re: One X vs Galaxy Nexus.
I'm still on my NS4G and I'm battling with the same issue. I've worked it down to this. I love Nexus phones (even through this CDMA-Nexus-Google nonsense) but there's no doubt if the One X variant on Sprint will blow the Nexus away as far as horsepower. Bear in mind the Sprint variant will not be quad-core. It'll most likely be a 1.5GHz Dual-Core. (Google Qualcomm Cortex-A15 "Krait")
The One X in this barebones situation would be the obvious ...
Re: Motorola electrify not 4g ready?
I'm sorry to hear that the rep told you it was 4G Capable as it is not. That being said if you got it 3 months ago you're well on the fasttrack to upgrading early. As stated above the Electrify is indeed a much more powerful phone than the Galaxy S Aviator. I'd bide your time and wait for our first LTE Motorola phone (which we're pretty sure is right around the corner.)
Re: Us cellular Employesss treated poorley
Being a current US Cellular employee I completely agree. We make it as best we can, but we're always two steps behind.
Re: Quadrant Score
Nexus S 4G got into the 6000's before on CM7.2.
Re: Finally we're getting the Samsung Galaxy SII!!
You see, the beautiful part about that is that 85% of USCC's customer base are either old or your average uninformed consumer. The remaining semi-informed customers if they're still with us have come to terms with our late 12-month release cycle and the prices associated with it.
That being said, we remain hopeful that we'll start getting some cool stuff a bit sooner.
(Don't tell anyone, but keep your eyes open for a Motorola Defy XT soon.)
Re: Finally we're getting the Samsung Galaxy SII!!
Welcome to our lives. They don't tell us anything :(
Re: Is 4G Coming to US Cellular Late 1st Quarter? Any Idea of Phones Being Tested?
Figured this deserved a reply.
Our first LTE device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE launches in March, and our first LTE phone, the Samsung Galaxy S II Aviator launches in April. Our Portable MiFi also launches in March.
No word yet on future devices, but expect some nice things from Motorola's and HTC's side of the field.
Re: Update for Motorola Electrify???
Motorola officially added it to the upgrade list close to two days ago or so. 8)
Re: NO Otterbox for Galaxy S II
Ha, I don't even want to hear it. I've had a Nexus S since launch, and they don't have an Otterbox for it. /;|
Re: fetish with 2003?
Suncom's. :D
Re: World class phone
Pretty much. Figured it might get a chuckle out of someone. Guess not :(

Re: Wow! What a cutting edge innovation!
You just wait smart guy. We get those phones in April!
Re: World class phone
Why would you want that? Just get a Droid 2 Global!
Re: Best phone for what I need?
I come from the future! Definitely wait for the release of the Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch!
Re: Acquisition?
I come from the future, and no, it's not going to happen.
