What a total wackjob. Just to think that such a nincompoop was almost a heartbeat away from the nuclear button makes my own heart skip a beat. And has anyone seen the game Change movie??? I must admit,it even made me feel sorry for John McCain.

Ah,how refreshing. Common sense in government. As far as texting while driving, it's just plain stupid.

muchdrama said: Exactly--if it's not Apple's way, it's the highway. Android is slowly eroding Apple's market share. As of now,Android is at 50% market share, with iOS at 30%,and dropping. Next year this time I expect to see iOS at around 12-15%,at best.

Yeah,God forbid Apple actually pay an american 16.00 per iPhone. Why do that with so many slaves desperate enough to have something to eat at least once a day, right??? If they could, they would actually own those poor people too.

Oh,please... If Apple had their way they would outlaw all phones with an operaring system, web browser and email, period. We would be back to the days of two choices: flip phones or iPhones. They had a huge run, made hundreds of billions of dollars, but just can't bear the thought of anyone else having a slice too.

Re: Other distractions are DIFFERENT

This is ridiculous. It would be simple, really, had we not embarked on the way to becoming a totalitarian society, where compromise or common sense do not exist. Fine, pass a ban on texting or web browsing while a motor vehicle is in motion, and exclude GPS,as it is but a tool. But a bluetooth headset? Come on,now.

In order to do that they would need to pay you a decent wage and provide some semblance of dignity,as well as a future to their employees. Something US corporations for the most part are simply no longer willing to do. They need you as a consumer, and only as a consumer. Remember the scandal a few months back about Apple making their vaunted iPad with slave labor in China???
