What are you even saying??? Right now, DT's only revenue driver is T-Mo, and by T-Mo I mean T-Mo USA. If it weren't for T-Mo USA, DT would have no revenue growth for the time being. DT is very happy with T-Mo USA and thus T-Mo International is happy with T-Mo USA. It seems like you've been getting your intelligence (or lack thereof) from the same sources as the American government.

Actually, you don't get it. I'm just a humble telco analyst who is ticked off at self-presumed know-it-alls giving weight to numbers without working through the thought process. I'm not affiliated with either company, except that I'm a customer of Cingular (and yet I come to T-Mo's defense). But the point I'm getting across is that Verizon Wireless is a project that Vodafone would definitely want to get out of if it had a good alternative. Vodafone would have happily taken ...

You're still off...Vodafone is GSM operator around the world. So for Vodafone, Verizon Wireless is simply an off-shoot joint venture with Verizon. This JV doesn't really fit in with Vodafone's overall business. So don't try to take my logic and use it against me; it doesn't quite translate. As for the average American, I can say a thing or two more about what they really care about. Nonetheless, I'll stick to this topic here and refresh your memory. Several times ...

Customer numbers---get your facts straight!

I'm so sick and tired of Cingular know-it-alls claiming that the company has the largest number of customers and dissing T-Mobile in the process. For your information, the entire organization known as T-Mobile has over 109,000,000 customers around the world. Your puny Cingular has less than half that in just one country! As I see it, on a global scale, Cingular is a spec of dust. And by the way, global is what matters! So T-Mo is bigger and Vodafone is ...

So anyways...I use Cingular and my friend uses Verizon... Quite often already, we get our call dropped when we're on the phone together. At that point, I immediately dial her number and I get someone else on the line. She dials my number at the same time, and she gets some stranger on the line! She assures me that this phenomenon happens only with me. It's strange...I guess it's Cingular's fault then, right? How is this possible? I dial her at ...

Why you ask? Let me tell you... When a Cingular rep tells over the phone that the re-activation of a line will cost $18, I shouldn't then see a $36 charge on the statement...That's why! When I ask for the re-activated line to be provisioned for a $39.99 plan, I shouldn't see it prorated on the statement for a $59.99 plan. Stupidity and ignorance are more prevalent elsewhere, especially in the company. Look inside for reasons why customers feel entitled. It's usually ...

I'm not trying to insult you by calling you an "idiot merely pointing out that you're too prejudice without taking ample time to think... T-Mo isn't just about the US. DT isn't just about the US. The US is a tiny spec in the world in it's a only a PORTION of what DT and T-Mo is all about. Another guy said this before me already: T-Mo, on a global scale, is far greater in strength and scope than rival in ...

Don't be an idiot by taking lines and regurgitating them. You really didn't address any important point. T-Mo having half the customers of its rivals was a not a point... On the contrary, if T-Mo is confident that it can grow organically, that's saying a lot more than those at AT&T Wireless who simply gave up and put themselves up for auction just to survive. That also says loads about Cingular's methodology of buying a company with many dissatisfied customers and ...

T-Mobile's Future: Straight from the top at Deutsche

Some of you have been wondering about this...so here is an official article: ___________________________________ ____________ Kai-Uwe Ricke, chief executive of Deutsche Telekom, has ruled out making acquisitions or stepping up investments for its US mobile phone business in spite of the planned merger of rivals Sprint and Nextel. The merger means T-Mobile USA will have half the US customers of Sprint-Nextel, Verizon Wireless or Cingular, prompting some concern that it will be unable to match its rivals' investment and marketing muscle in the ...

Actually, I'm sorry to tell you that your math is WAY off. T-Mobile's prices already include 2 lines of service. So it's only when you want to add the 3rd or 4th line that you add the $9.99. Additionally, Cingular does cost more. I don't need a lot of minutes and thus would like to pay less for the base and save money. So why pay more for additional minutes that I won't use and pretend I'm saving money with ...

A happy customer now pissed off
Dec 27, 2004, 12:31 AM

I've been a customer of Cingular since the second half of 2003 and I'd been happy with everything! Hold times were considerably lower than at my former carrier AT&T Wireless and my inquiries were always resolved on the first try... HOWEVER, thanks to the recent merger, Cingular has picked up some of AT&T's dirty habits. Cingular and T-Mobile used to be the ONLY 2 carriers to offer additional lines on a family line at just $9.99 per line per month. ...
