I remember from my training class only about 3 people survived being there more than 6 months. After about a year I was the only one left. This is typical in most call centers though, not just wireless.

I'll believe this when I see it. AT&T is only interested in getting the DOJ's approval for the buyout to complete. They will say and do anything to the governments approval. Then 6 months to a year later they will go back on their word. I know from personal experience when AT&T Wireless was purchased by Cingular our wages and benefits were not competitive. In fact, I feel our benefits were downgraded after the purchase.

If history repeats itself AT&T will let you keep your plan until it's time to upgrade, or you need to replace your phone. Back when Cingular purchased AT&T Wireless, the customers AT&T wireless had were allowed to keep their plans and phones for the time left on their agreement. All of you out there who work for T-Mobile should be jumping and cheering today. I worked for AT&T Wireless before it was bought out by Cingular. I have seen first hand how Cingular treats both customers and employees of the competitors they purchase. I was also on hand for the merge of AT&T and Cingular.
