I'd advise everyone who thinks this is unfair to take a look at their contracts. Everyone that signs a contract with AT&T signs an arbitration clause. AT&T is simply enforcing that clause. If you think its okay for customers to have the ability to sue for whatever reason they see fit, then be prepared for service costs to skyrocket based on the higher operating costs for providers.

I can tell you from personal experience the old line "change of terms will get you out of your contract" simply does not work.
Besides that, the terms aren't changing. Any cell contract (and btw if yours are with at&t you can view them on your online acct) of any of the major carriers always carry this clause (or similar): carrier does not guarentee service in all areas at all times, does not guarentee data speeds.
