1661?
I previously had a 1661 with Nokia and T-mobile so I wouldn't hurt my Verizon cell when I went out camping and etc. WELL, I see now that this is released and nothing really has changed minus 2.5 mm headset making it iPod 3.5mm sized. Everything else is same. So is this a 1661 upgrade? or is this just another added model?

I agree with the people that say that there really isn't a difference. It may have fixed some of the original X's issues (I never had the original) but I can say the X2 IS a WHOLE lot better. I can also say that Motorola and Verizon probably put this phone out there as just another droid. It has a fantastic camera- for all videos I now just use this. It is amazing. The rival isnt really a disaster. had a couple issues, but actually worked quite well. I owned iNTENsity for a brief timing and it worked well too. So if that will work for you, I guess get that phone. If not get the LG OCTANE it is a REALLY good phone. I'd recommend it anyday.
Re: Ringtones?
I would suggest looking on PhoneZoo or something like that for ringtones. The ringtones you cannot get, I would suggest either recording or seeing if one of your buddies has them. I was frustrated with Verizon on the same occasion, only the phone I used VX5200, WOULDN'T LET ME save the sound as it was something verizon blocked. I'd get them from this site as it seems to be a good one.

We have actually loved our Citrus phones but I agree that some things go wrong with it. It vibrates when in calls, it occasionally shuts off- the biggest complaint when going to enter a code, the screen magically goes away.
