Sprint is a different environment. Sales calls don't come to sales. They filter a bunch of random crap through sales even though the customers are calling in for tech support, customer care, or to cancel. The calls are so random that goal isn't even 10% for adds.

Well in that case I agree with you, but I don't see why there could be Terms and Conditions for a 1 time transaction other than the general return policy. :?

Well the phone I want to use is from US Cellular but it sounds like that won't make much of a difference.

Pretty much the same thing as Sprint then, oh well. Any word on the return of that $20 reduced data smartphone package? I've heard it was supposed to be coming back, I just can't justify spending $20 MORE a month than I am now when I'm not going to use any more data.

Companies want to keep sales in house. Makes sense enough, The store gave the me whole spiel of, you can do it if you really want to but the phone may only be able to make calls and text, we can't guarantee any of other features will work thing. Maybee i'll call into customer care and ask a bunch of different agents and see what Kind of response I get there. Avoiding buying the phone would be prudent if ...

I know both used to allow it, Sprint stopped using other carriers phoenes first. I saw an article a while back saying Verizon was going to follow Suit, but one of the local Store reps said they still allow it.

I'm looking into getting my first Smartphone however I have some things holding me back. I want a physical keyboard for my first endeavor because I'm not comfortable moving to all touchscreen yet and Verizon doesn't carry a phone that appeals to me as I'm not a fan of Sliders. I'm thinking of looking into purchasing an Unlocked LG Genesis as I have the Voyager now, and its basically the same phone but with Android. I wont be using much data ...

AT&T has the "Double Time" Currently. Not a traditional flip but still a "Clamshell" type non the less. Looks kinda dumb to me though. I'm quite surprised Verizion didn't pick up the Genesis. Its practically the EnvAndroid.

Again, it depends on what you want to do. Windows Mobile has had a really bad rep in the past but from what I've heard, they cleaned things up quite a bit with WinPhone7. From what I hear, 7.5 was also made with heavy involvement from Nokia. It looks like things will be getting quite a bit better than they used to be. Without having a conversation that can only be had in person, I won't recommend one ...

Lady calls in, expecting to pay a deposit. I get her approved 3 lines no deposit. Wants to call some people and max our her share plan but isn't sure who. Can't convince her to set up some now and then call back for the others cause our stupid system over the phone wont assign an account number till the back end teams do it, so I set up a call back for about an hour. I call back ...

The entire tech support department went through a Reorganization a while back. (right around the time the iphone came out) That number changing was probably fallout from it.

The only time an upgrade date would be changed that far out is if it was incorrect to begin with. I work in the department that does these "Early Upgrades" and your information is incorrect.

To be fair. The customer base will be like that anywhere you work, and the cases people complain about are the extreme cases. Most people at least appear to be normal.

So, the Notification those of us posting here at work about IE6 being outdated says you guys recommend Google Chrome. The site tools say you have things tested with IE7 and Firefox. I find this confusing. Has that part of the site not been updated in a while? I imagine if not, its on a to-do list. I'm just curious.

It will be utilized a lot more when large companies who already have a number of iden PTT devices get converted over. Even if they don't add on very many new subscribers, there is still a large need to convert what is already in place when iden is decommissioned. The reason the switch is being done is so they don't waste a bunch of resources on maintaining towers that barely get used.

First off. Some of my post pertains to sprint, some of it does not. Its just general information that people should know. Most likely it won't tick over until 1/1/12 when the new eligibility takes effect. Regardless of whether or not your account is noted, the upgrade would not be honored. Its not a matter of will/won't is a matter of can/can't. The system does not allow someone to select a price for a device that the account is not ...

Do you have something written into you job that requires you to give more than 2 week notice?. If not, just make sure you are hired for the new job, and that you can start in 2 weeks. Then put in your notice.

For anyone who is familiar with Sprint and Everything Plus Referral accounts. I just had a customer that wanted to pre order the iphone on the website. I explained the complications with that and his SERO plan. After explaining things he told me, word for word. Change my plan. I want to pay $20 more per month for absolutely nothing.

This phone does require an "Everything Data 1500", 3000, or "Simply Everything" plan with the $10 premium data add on. It is a smartphone. Smartphones require data. Please do not put incorrect information on a board like this. Your comment belongs in the Rumor mill.

I noticed qHD (Quarter High Definition) is not listed in the Glossary. Honestly, none of my internal stuff describes exactly what it is and I'm more of a software person than a hardware person. I can't find the time to look it up on my own and restricted browsers at work are not conducive to this :(

give you more space on the phone with which to type. I want a physical keyboard on my phone but all verizon has are sliders with keyboards that are WAY to tiny and unwieldy for me. Its a shame VZ didn't pick this one up. The Voyager has the most perfect phone keyboard ever. I didn't think anything ever made would surpass it. I don't even think we HAVE US cellular in my area so I haven't had ...
