Re: EZ Tip Calculator
I found a text based Tip Calculator that works very well w/the Storm and it's free!

It works very nicely
Re: Sound level
me too ... but the speakerphone is pretty poor
Re: Sound level
It is clear but a bit on the low side for regular calls. Mobile to Mobile calls have adequate volume.
I have looked for tweaks on the web, but for the most part, the gaintable adjustments do not work for CDMA phones.
Re: Sound level
did you try the Sound Level on the speakerphone?
Re: So wait...
The SIM card has Verizon's logo on it, but it is a Vodafone SIM.
Re: Sound level
Have you tried using the speakerphone on anything other than a mobile to mobile call. The volume is good on a mobile to mobile call.
I called Verizon support this week about a billing question and used the speakerphone. At top volume (level 7) i was barely able to hear the representative.
That is why I feel the speakerphone should be a bit louder.
Re: Sound level
I find the speakerphone volume unacceptably low. The handset's volume is OK on the top level, but I would like perhaps one or two more volume levels.
My wife has the same phone and she has the same issue. Bluetooth volume is very good.
I called Motorola and the person I spoke to was absolutely clueless. She told me to mail my phone back to them to check it.
They need to release a firmware update that increases speakerphone ...
Re: world edition
that is not entirely true. One country you cannot use this phone is Chile. Chile uses the 850 and 1900 Mhz bands and they no longer have CDMA. I checked w/Verizon Global Services and they confirmed it.
You can always look at GSMWORLD.COM to see which frequency bands are in use in a specific country.
This phone does 850 and 1900 mhz on CDMA and 900 and 1800 mhz on GSM.
Re: Battery Life
Battery life is fair. I changed my brightness to "Level 4" whereas the unit defaults to Level 6.
I plan to by the extended battery, as using the speakerphone drains the unit much faster.
Re: 6256i - picture caller ID
I have the same problem. It does not work on mine.
6255i on Verizon
I'm curious to find out if it is in testing. If so, is there an approximate release date for Verizon.
6019i - Verizon?
Can we assume the 6019i is going to be for Verizon? If so, has this phone been tested and when might it become commercially available?
VX-5550 for Verizon
Is there any news about this phone being offered by Verizon?
