They might start using Removable User Identity Module (R-UIM) which is a simcard that can be used with a cdma network also the card can be used with gsm as well so that might be how they fix that problem who knows we will see.

From what i know a nextel simcard will not work with a gsm phome same same with a gsm simcard with a IDEN phone. These technologies are not the same.

No all IDEN phones are locked. You need to get them unlocked if you want to use them with different IDEN Carries. Example you want use a prepaid sim with Mexico.

IDeen phones will not work on Souther Linc, or Mike, AirTel, And Mexico. They need to be unlocked they are locked to Nextel and Boost Mobile. The only reason to unlock IDEN phones are if you want to switch or do prepaid on one of the providers.

There whole advertising has been about "where you at?" with the Nextel walkie talkie. Go to someone ask them about boost i guarantee they will talk about the walkie talkie not about the sprint pre-paid division. So now they have to redo there advertising and redo their campaign thats all i am saying it can be hard to revamp their image.

I think it will be interesting to see if Boost Mobile can keep subscribers with their CDMA Unlimited plan. Becuse the hole idea of Boost Mobile is the walkie talkie since these CDMA phones have no Walkie Talkie will the customers still come to Boost. Also will metropcs lower there prices plans are the same but Boost has more coverage. I think the idea of Metro and Cricket together might sound like a better idea. Or they might ...

From what i saw while i was in India there are contracts but the phones are so cheap there that everyone uses prepaid. For example i can buy a Nokia phone in India Band only for 40 dollars. You can buy world phones there but they costs up to 500 us dollars. There are 3 carries i saw while i was there Airtel(GSM) Very expensive but the best coverage in India. TaTa(CDMA) Very cheap and they work with companies ...

I own a iridium phone they only work outside dont bother about inside there great for hurricane emergency. Coverage wise i cant tell you who the best but don't go iridium there is also a 2 second delay on talking plus 500 minutes costs 500 dollars ouch!

A good CS REP store!
Customer calls in to Cingular with a complain because he has 600 dollar phone bill. The customer rep explains that he has used all his rollover minutes from the last few months and that why he has such a high bill. The rep explains that if he agrees to increase the monthly plan to 60 dollars more he will credit the 400 dollars off his account. Customer agrees everyone goes home a winner!

No one goign to pay extra for PTT or get a phone with PTT that only the 10% of the people have. The diffrence with IDEN is: Hey man whats your priavte ID, Cool walkie you later.

I think one important point that everyone misses. When you buy iden phone you get PTT automatically there no charge for it its included in the price plan. If you look at the other carries they charge you extra plus only 10% probably less have PTT feature.
