in the Article: Sprint Delivering Ice Cream Sandwich to Epic 4G Touch forum

The first batch that got the android 4.0 update for the sprint galaxy s 2 experienced multiple issues with their phones including inability to access the web. Sprint customer care confirms that the rollout of 4.0 is recalled and customers unfortunate enough to participate in sprint's "beta" testing lost all the storge memory on the phone not saved to the memory card. Those beta testers had to take their phone back to the sprint store to wipe it clean ...

Is this not the saddest thing ever? A nexus phone which is supposed to be as close to a google official phone as possible has not received jelly bean on the sprint version yet......how expected. And even 4.0 was late?my my

Read step 5 below: The chain of command is just too deep. For example:Step 1. Google releases an update to android.Step 2. Manafacturers such as samsung have to decide which of its phones capable of supporting newsoftware will actually get the updates and when.Step 3. Carriers have to decide whether to give new update to current hot phone like epic touch or only releaseit to upcoming phone like the s3 to promote saleseven though epic touch is capable to support thenew software ...

I mean don't get me wrong.....I am an android fan and android itself is awesome for many reasons....but the chain of command is just too deep. For example: Step 1. How exactly does 2gb of ram help on the s3 as compared to s2 when it still runs on a slow 3g speed barely capable of using .5 gb of ram? Maybe you can call that an upgrade. Siri in all its perfection as captured by apple is enough of a feature to call 4s an upgrade because it actually helps the user. As far as deciding when we got software upgrades, duh.....It makes sense of apple doesn't need sprint's and ...

Or how about letting android decide the when which where and how's about the software upgrades.... Sprint is on a new level of low though. They r selling the s3 which is an s 2 with twice the ram on the slowest ranked 3 g carrier speed nationwide of the 4 major carriers and sells it with 4g let which won't kick in till 2013 they say but 2014 to be ralistic

You probably got most of the galaxy s 2 users to switch to s 3 already by now. Next you will release s 4 and give jelly to s 3 users afterwards......this is just sickening plain and simple. Apple handles all software upgrades by themselves and does not give carriers any say in matters they shouldn't have say in anyhow. Samsung released the upgrade in start of q1 and sprint holds it out till start of q3 to push the ...

A 1.2 Ghz processor on the new 9930 bring RIM back into the ring against Android and Apple. The question is if the 9930 is going to be ascrificing battery life in order to suport such a processor...I hope not because that would defeat the purpose

I sell have sold phones for all 4 carriers and now feel bad for sprint employees and customers who will experience Motoblur for the first time.....it is annoying.......the servers r down 4 days.....and u absolutely can't use ur phone without logging in or creating an account on the phone and if u create 1 using computer u can't login on phonw cuz their "mobile servers" r down..it Motorolla's way of punishing the customers who left their razrs for blackberrys ...

I hope this device uses the touchstone wireless charger like the original Palm version of the Pre. Please HP don't leave the one really unique thing about wireless charging that Palm started but someone else capitalized on out.......(keeping my fingers crossed)
