Verizon has a feature call ring back meaning if a person calls your phone they will hear music before you answer. would I have to go through file systems to download my own ring tones for this feature?

I'm having trouble downloading mp3's music onto my phone bitpim has a mp3 category where you can send music other than ringers, but I'm having problems sending mp3 music to my phone.

I just took my phone to a verizon store and had a software update for free, it took and hour. The one problem the VX 8000 had is when you take a high resolution pictures, you can't access the video clips from Vcast with the new update that solve the problem

you never know. If people can hack into their phones and do all these crazy stuff. maybe somebody can figure out how to partition these phones. If you can partition off tune and tones, that if nobody wants this category, that could increase the memory for ring tones. Just by using a data cable and qpst. Any thing is possible.
Here's how to use BitPim to load mp3 & pictures on the 8000
Open up BitPim and go to file systems make sure your phone is connected to you data cable. The little "+" symbol on the upper left corner call tree. Click on that and then follow these instructions. Good Luck!
This is using BitPim, and pretty much any of the latest versions will work. I’ve been successful using COM 1 and COM5, it just matters how your computer saves the driver. Enjoy!

I just send out for my data cable. I was using BitPim for the VX 6000. Can BitPim be used for the 8000 or due I have to use qpst? And if I have to get qpst what site will I find this software?

I'm so glad to hear that because I have my old data cable for my vx 6000 so that means my car charger should work too. I know how to convert my mp3 files to fit my phone. I usually keep them 35 seconds long. Thanks you just save me some cash.
I’m reading too many flaws, is the VX 8000 worth getting?
I'm hearing too may flaws with the vx 8000. such as message receipt error, screen blacking out when charging, and phone resetting it self. I really want this phone and I would like to hear from people who are not having any problem with there phone.

Think about it, this phone was suppose to be release last year. So this phone is basically outdated. when verizon relaunch the new PTT system we might See some up to date phones.

With in the last few months Verizon has said or done anything with their PTT. I heard that Verizon would be making modification to their system; I don't know how true that is hopefully that would help.
