GPS.. The ONLY thing it's used for is if you call 911 and are in an accident or something, they can locate you if you don't know where you are from the phone...
We have people call in saying they lost the phone, and asking since the phone has GPS, can we call the police and send them to find the phone and recover it.. lol :lol:

alot of people in this call center got the 9900 when it was $50 instead of the prices now... I've not heard of any problems with the phone... other than the v710 having more features... thats what i got the phone for, the features...
With the emp discount, hell get both of them.. look at your price for monthly access for emp second lines.

I've had the samsung 670, lg7000, and now the v710. It's hands down the best phone that i've had for reception. There's a spot in our building where no one else gets service except the v710 phones for some reason...

If your doing retail... you'd probably want the 710 so you can show its capabilities to customers. Everywhere i go, if i tell someone i'm a vzw worker, they ask me about my phone. I show them the video's mp3's, and all the cool stuff. IF you just want a good phone and don't care abuot that stuff or the BT function, just get the 9900

Hmm.. interesting...
I'm talking to a guy right now, who had a "friend" that worked a Moto, basically gave him an unbranded v710. I tried asking him about OBEX and BT features, but he has no idea what I'm tlkaing about, he just thinks it a cool phone.
I told him I'd trade him his for mine and give him a few bucks, but he said no...
My next option is that if this update doesn't have what we're all looking for.. ...

Technically not true... YOu signed a contract saying you would pay for 1 year or two years of service with us, if they were to credit you for a month if you didn't use your phone, they could also extend your contract by a month.

Lucky him, if there's any use, not suppose to credit. but it all depends on teh rep, the length of service... etc. etc.

Sounds like it to me. The third quarter results are in and those two companys lost the most customers in the third quarter. Can't give specifics, they should be printed in newspapers and magazines soon... but VZW beat ever other carrier in every catagory for the third quarter

Just go into a VZW Retail store to swap out. It's not truly a recall because not every phone is affected, so they haven't said how you will be notified......

Best thing to do is call cust service and make sure text is added correctly on the account. cust serv can always have tech sprt refresh all your services.
