I agree. The fact is that Tmobile and Sprint are smaller players and have much easier credit requirements than ATT or VZW. If either Sprint or Tmob go under, a majority of their subs would head to the other instead of dropping a $400 deposit at ATT or VZW.

Those iphones are stripped of their processors and put in brand new devices or sold as refurbs. Apple loses very little money on refurbs.

in the Article: YouTube to Launch Own Music Service forum

Actually, I'm a 40 year old Anarcho-Capitalist who doesn't like much government in any form. However, when a corporation uses their weight and power to bully people into paying for things that they already get for free, that's pretty much the exact reason the very small government exists: to protect the individual's rights. If pewtiepie, cupcake ladies and tobuscus can get free service to make money then so should independent music labels. This is basically the first step in ...

Yeah but those have always been PAY services. What Google is doing is banning independent labels from using the FREE site and removing existing Artist channels as retaliation for not signing deals for the pay service. This isn't even close to what Apple does with guaranteed price matching. And 10 years ago Youtube's actions would have been a joke, but seeing as Google/Youtube control how about 90% of the world uses internet services, I'd say this is a huge problem. ...

Jun 18, 2014, 9:59 PM
in the Article: YouTube to Launch Own Music Service forum

And no, I don't mean money. Many independent artists(Adele for example) have not signed licensing deals with Google/Youtube. In retaliation for defying the company, Google/Youtube has decided to not only not offer those artists on its pay service, but to also remove these artists' channels from the FREE Youtube service. When is someone in the US going to do what the EU has done and investigate ways to break up Google into smaller non-monolithic, non-monopolizing companies? Here's an article about it. http://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcinty re/2014/06/18/youtube-is-about-to-delete-inde pendent-artists-from-its-site/

We have yet to have any LTE-Advanced national networks. Are we going to see commercials in the next couple of years touting LTE-Advanced as "5G"? And really... what's the endgame? Is "6G" going to be messaging from my brainwaves to someone's LG device? There are real limits to what speeds we can achieve not to mention the limit of what we can actually DO with that speed. If we see theoretical leaps with 5G on the same scale as ...

This sounds just like the tech they use when the NSA/Google/DARPA want to spy on us without warrants! Now the tech is available as a free "feature"! Wonderful! How come I want to bet tons of money that the "terms of agreement" include "Google reserves the right to use your camera at any time"?

Uh... It sounds like the "facts" don't fit your world view actually. Reuters, MSNBC, HuffPo.... these are not "news" organizations. These are Corporations throwing propaganda down our throats at the behest of the puppets in the government that they own. This "article" basically laid the entire shutdown of the government on Ted Cruz.... instead of the corporate banker owned politicians who have ruined this country. Get a clue man.

Shutdown?
Oct 18, 2013, 6:00 PM
in the Article: Texas Senator Blocks Confirmation of FCC Chair forum

I guess I have a different definition of "shutdown" than the "News" Media have... A 16 day vacation for 17% of the Federal Employees, a "shutdown" does not make. Let's not forget that the costs of closing war memorials and national parks (which are run by private companies in most cases) with armed guards probably cost more than the fat bloated pig of a government actually saved. If we followed the Constitution, we would shut down 83% of the Federal ...

Don't really see a problem at all here. CDMA to GSM conversions are much simpler than IDEN to CDMA. (The main problem there was frequency issues not network types) ATT has had to do this in some areas with Alltel customers. TMobile has the advantage of having an LTE network already built in MetroPCS areas. I've had Tmobile for some time now and I don't really have coverage issues even in rural areas due to roaming agreements with other ...

This is the exact same phone as the Optimus G without the bloatware and a slight redesign of the case. The phonescoop review says it hangs with the GSIII and iPhone 5 as one of the best phones on the market and is the best phone ever built by LG. I'm also perplexed by the absolute need for LTE. Is 42 Mbps not fast enough? If you absolutely need LTE, get the Optimus G on ATT's network. By all ...

I'm guessing you are saying that because you think capacity will be an issue. It won't be. We are still only talking about 1900 LTE on the 5x5 channel. 800 LTE hasn't been determined. The other way to overcome capacity issues is to have more towers... which Sprint does.
