Re: For LTE, there should be higher options
There are higher options, if you go over you get another GB for 10 bucks that's really not a bad deal 1 cent a MB really at that point, if they came out and said you could get 5 GB for $50 bucks that wouldn't be to bad depending on how much you use it, but most people even on LTE really aren't going to to go over that 2 GB mark so say they do end up using ...
Re: Unlike Verizon at least AT&T gets the price right
Only dumb people go buy phones from corporate stores third party retailers have way better prices on phones I.E. $150 for the Thunderbolt at places like RadioShack and Best Buy, but I agree $299 for a phone on contract is craziness.
Re: AT&T has terrible satisfaction ratings
I've had AT&T for 7 years now, couldn't be more satisfied, I've got an iPhone with unlimited data, unlimited family text, and unlimited calling to any cell phone, with three total lines the other two are feature phones and my bill runs only $135 after tax a month, Sprint would actually be way more expensive since you can’t tier data plans, one smartphone with 2 feature phones would run $159 before tax, oh also since I've been a customer ...
Re: Coverage
I don't understand what you mean they've got the coverage to back it up, back what up? What are you trying to say Verizon can be more expensive and have the same policies that AT&T gets criticized over just because they've got better coverage out in BFE? That doesn't really make sense to me, I've had AT&T and my Dad has had VZW for years and I'll do speed tests all the time, and AT&T's 3G is almost always ...
What's the difference between AT&T and VZW?
Ok I've had AT&T for going on 6 years now and I've honestly never really had any network issues, now my iphone drops calls all the time, but trust me its the iphone my old BB Bold 9700 never ever dropped a single call. I think that's why most people think AT&T sucks, cause the iPhone has terrible call quality, now I've also got unlimited data on my iPhone, and a lot if people got upset when they went ...
Re: Bye bye unlimited data?
If this does happen, I wonder if Sprint will keep their insanely low deposits and ETF’S, if they don't they'll be hurting, why not sign up get an iphone for $199 and pay a $200 ETF, you just bought a non contract iphone for $400
What a bunch of whiners
I'm so sick of everyone whining about how crappy AT&T is, I've been an AT&T/Cingular customer for 7 years now and have always been very pleased with my service, I still have my unlimited data plan and I typically do about 2gb of data a month, honestly 95% of people NEVER EVER touch 2gb and those who have unlimited and are complaining about being in that top 5% of data users, are probably using jailbroken iPhones and rooted Android ...
Re: Thank you, RadioShack.
The carrier almost NEVER offers the same price though, perfect example HTC Status free at RS and BB, $50 at AT&T, HTC Sensation $150 new at RS and BB, $200 at T-Mo stores, plus the corporate stores sell the exact same accecories for waaaaaay more, like $20 cases at RS and BB for like $35, I think the corp stores realize that 80% of consumers will always buy from corp stores so they can charge whatever they want.
In defense of tiered data
VZW's pricing structure does suck, however I'm in support of tiered data, I've still got my $30 unlimited data from AT&T, and I'm never giving it up. However I usually blow through 5-7 GB a month, mainly cause I watch lots of hulu and stream lots of pandora on my Inspire 4G, I don't care about my usage because I'm unlimited, I usually just leave my wifi off since I usually get way longer battery life with it off, ...
Transform 2.0?
It looks like the next generation Transform to me, hopefully it won't be the same build quality as the Transform, cause honestly Samsung usually makes a good quality phone, but the Transform was piece of junk. Also Sprint ID sucks, almost every Sprint customer I see just disables the ID after just randomly picking one out at activation.
Unlimited Data
You switched to Boost with unlimited data huh? You know why Boost has unlimited data, cause it runs at less than 1 mb/s, you aren't going to use very much data running at that speed, not to mention most Boost phones are not smart phones, Boost just got it's first Android like a month ago. Honestly though, I understand why someone would want "unlimited" data, it comforating to not have to worry about overages, but about 1% of smartphone ...
Pantech
What are the odds this ugly looking "Pancrap" will have a resistive touchscreen and will most likely be the only Android phone on the market that uses a properitory charger instead of a micro USB like every other Pantech, sometimes you wonder how some companies stay in business when they just make crappy products over and over and over again...
Re: There is no way they would ever match what Ebay gets you.
I work for RadioShack and we offer a trade in program and honestly it is true that you'll most likely get more on eBay, however think about the fact that you are probably experienced at selling on eBay, most people have never sold anything on eBay and the task is very intimdating for them, so I think for most people they're willling to take a little less for their phone in exchange for not dealing with having to sell ...
