No complaints with mine
I am now on day 3 of using my Evo3D and have yet to experience any of the problems noted in the article. Call quality has been very clear, and when compared side by side with my Evo4G now on a seperate line of my account I saw no difference in signal strength or connection speeds.
If there was a software or hardware issue, it must have been solved.

I haven't seen any actual sales numbers, though my store recieved 10 units, 5 of which were preorders reserved for customers. We still have 3 unsold units left. It is not for any lack of advertising, but it might have something to do with the huge price drop on the Evo4G.
Either way, its a great phone. I'm sure the demand will pick up soon enough.

If not natively, I'm sure one of the already existing apps for the Evo4g that does the same thing will be modified pretty quickly for it.

Yeah, I really don't see any legal grounds for a lawsuit. At least not until someone takes advantage of the loose permissions automatically granted when the apps are forcibly installed. If, for instance, Sprint's lack of better judgement left a huge security hole that resulted in a massive loss of private information or loads of extra charges appearing on people's bills then perhaps there might be something.
Until then, its just a matter of them being disrespectful to their customers.

I believe you missed a couple errors. For one, I'm relatively certain the company is "HTC" not "HTE". Also, you went a little overboard with the commas.
I find it somewhat insulting
I know it is in Sprint's (and every other carrier's) best interest to generate a profit however possible. I understand that one great way to do this is by forcing certain applications down the user's throats that they might not otherwise use, or may use a competing app for the same purpose. It makes complete sense to me that you also would make it difficult to remove these apps to avoid customers blindly tidying up their devices and inadvertently ...

Through the entire process up to this point of the proposed aquisition, AT&T seems to have had an unwarranted degree of confidence that everything will work out in their favor. I really don't understand where it is coming from. I assumed that they would go all out on making people aware of the universal benefits that would be made available if the purchase were to go through, but I haven't heard anything from them regarding how this will help ...
Who did they think they were fooling?
The steady decline of Blackberry's hold on the smartphone market has been pretty obvious to anyone who has worked with the cellular industry at all over the last couple years now. Did they seriously think no one would expect this to affect them financially?

Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that the lithium ion batteries being used in cell phones can't actually be overcharged. Granted, it can cause it to heat up a little, and overheating can reduce the overall lifespan of the battery.

The HP/Palm inductive charger was a pain though. You had to set it on it just right and it ended up taking just as long as plugging a cord in would have, and if it wasn't seated just so it would disconnect and reconnect constantly.

Evo 3d wins hands down. I am not a fan of Motorola's smart phones. There are already several issues with the Atrix. I am not saying the Evo 3d won't potentially have some issues at release, but if its anything like the launch of the Evo 4g the problems should be negligible.

I wonder if the third party retailers (RadioShack, Best Buy, Walmart, et cetera) are going to suffer, as the primary benefit to going to them was the fact that they skipped the mail in rebates.

I don't see a point to the inductive charging.
I can plug my charge cable into my phone blindfolded with one tied behind my back.
Those charging mats take up way more space than an inconspicuous USB cord.
I have heard way too many complaints about loss of battery life and increased charge times due to the alternate charging method. This may have changed with recent versions, but it all still just seems such a pointless novelty.
I am all for technology ...

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed when I noticed that as well. Though, I suppose it probably won't effect me much, as the way it is now my Otterbox case covers my kickstand and supplies its own anyway.
So maybe if we are lucky Otterbox will come through this time around and have a case ready for the phone a little sooner than the 6 months or so it took them with the Evo, and just maybe they will throw a ...

That sounds like marketing speak, pretty words that don't actually translate to anything of "substance".
Please name for me a phone that has this "substance" you speak of, and what infers this.
Also, please list for me a carrier that "knows how to commit to things" and how they are doing this more so than Sprint.

In my experience, HTC beats LG hands down in the smart phone department.
I have had an HTC Evo for 9 months or so and have used an LG Optimus as well since December. Though for the price the Optimus is a nice phone, it has constant issues compared to my Evo.

Yeah, it definately makes more sense than the rumor that Sprint was looking to buy them.
