A broadcasting company probably wants it's name to show up in search results for one. I can see how two companies with the same name in vaguely related fields can be confused. I don't think it's frivolous at all, especially since BlackBerry was told they cannot use the name and went ahead and did it anyway.

Vaguely related flame post.

Imagine how a company, as innovative as this one, would do if the AT&T/T-Mobile merger had been allowed to go through. ESPECIALLY if the predictions of the government control advocates are correct and AT&T's prices went through the roof following the merger. People would be scouring the country for alternatives, leaving the big bad "monopolies," "duopolies," or whatever you want to call them behind and looking for companies just like this! But the status quo remains. Nothing changes because "change ...

The point is... They don't need to. Government helps fund the rural build-out and Verizon "selflessly" lets them use the spectrum. VZW trades the rights to the spectrum for it's use and makes out like a bandit. It's the most brilliant use of government manipulation I've seen in a while.

Verizon Wireless is convincing the little guys to build out an LTE network for them by letting them "use" the 700 MHZ spectrum. This makes Verizon look like hero's while generating an insanely huge profit. nice.

I'm surprised they are unloading Gingerbread on this phone so fast! It's the newest and latest version of Android right? I'm so glad Google made that deal with the manufactures and carriers to keep all Android devices current, otherwise this phone might be stuck on an older version of android than what it is capable of. oh, wait...

Apple keeps the data they collect They don't "keep" your data at all. than they said they would? They never gave any indication of how long they would keep your data to begin with.
