just a couple quick fixes, which i'm sure that you simply mistyped. first, the iphone does simultaneous voice on data now on their GSM network, which has been the sole reason VZW or SPRINT have not yet had it, since CDMA has limitations, yet it IS more reliable. Also, 4G is currently in only 38 markets, but will be nationwide, replacing 3G, no later than 2013. The thunderbolt does NOT have a dual-core processor... it will have the 2nd generation ...

i agree!! having worked for a GSM carrier before and a CDMA carrier now, i must admit that i spend about 1/3 of my work day changing devices because the consumer cannot just do it on their own. of course, requiring a SIM card also means that there is one more piece of hardware that vulnerable to damage, but replacement cost is cheap. It does suck that you lose your contacts tho

true true. i guess i worded that poorly. i was referring to the release date previous to this one. i wish HTC would get it together already because i'm dying to get this in my store and get my hands on it!!

i COMPLETELY agree!! why not focus on improving multi-touch or spend the extra production cost on upgrading the screen quality... or processor... or battery life... or speaker... or hdmi output... or even simply a better camera???? sure, there are a FEW uses for dual-screens, but for (what i'm sure will be) such a high price-point, 2 screens just isn't worth it. thank you, kyocera, for giving a perfect example as to why NOBODY considers you a legitimate phone manufacturer ...

yes. but it wasnt pushed back from verizon's end. htc delayed the shipping for some reason. best buy still has exclusivity for the first week of sales, beginning the first week of march. then our stores will get them to sell starting the 2nd week of march. price has not been disclosed yet.

best buy will have exclusive sales for the first week of release, beginning the first week of march. vzw stores will begin selling them the second week of march. the exact date has not been released because best buy is currently waiting for htc to ship the devices. it was originally set for 2/24.

very true! the only thing i contend with here is that i know for sure that the phone will be able to have simultaneous voice/data. this was it's major selling point for me. i know, i know, simultaneous voice/data used to be solely reserved for GSM networks. i don't have the full specs yet as to HOW it is capable of this, but i know that there was vigorous testing to ensure that this would work with this (and ...

operating systems are honestly getting to the point where personal preference is overtaking actual quality. each of the major 4 have there ups/downs. so it basically comes down to what you plan to use your device for. the most obvious is blackberry, which is second-to-none when it comes to mobile e-mail. they are the originator of "push" e-mail, and they are still the lone OS to have TRUE "push". if you are basing your decision of off entertainment, then ...

I understand that when the original iPhone was released, it was a revolutionary device. but since then, other platforms began to catch up. the one that stands out about all others is the android platform. i've seen many people ask for a true comparison between apple and android, so here ya go: HTC Thunderbolt vs Apple iPhone 4 thunderbolt is 4g, iphone is 3g thunderbolt supports simultaneous voice/data (including mms during active call), iphone does not thunderbolt has better/faster processor thunderbolt has flashlight ...

usually, no it is not a big deal to talk and surf at the same time. but let's not forget: mms messages use the data network. so it isnt just for "surfing" while talking, but also accepting and sending all mms messages!
