Re: a00000442ce4f9 Listed lost or stolen, but is brand new out of the package???? HELP!!!
if you bought it at a store take it back... if you bought it from a private party being brand new in a box doesn't mean it was not stolen...
We had someone drive a car through the front of a store by us and take 100's of devices... those would all be reported as stolen. Also a common practice of credit mulers is to hit like walmart and ask them to leave the device in the box because it ...
Re: verizons prepaid service
I don't believe you get any 4g data on pageplus, it is evdo only... It is good for minutes and coverage and limited data usage, however if you want 4g Verizon's prepaid is a good deal.
$45 = unlimited minutes and text 500mb data
That data is low.. but you can buy what they call bridge data to bolt on it
3GB for $20 and it lasts 90 Days....
So if you use a normal amount over 60 days you will probably look ...
Re: International texting
well that puts you in a conundrum.
Re: True unlimited data plans?
Verizon only throttles 3g, and it really isn't throttling, just getting thrown in the back of the line during high congestion periods, once congestion eases up your full speeds return. There is no 4g LTE throttling
Re: Best non-smartphone for Verizon
convoy 3 is about it as far as decent flips.. If you are not on a shareplan and the phone is on a plan by itself they now have a $45 plan that has unlimited text, talk and a very low 250MB of data. You can put a smartphone on it and turn the cellular data off and just use wifi to avoid going over the data limit.
Thought is you can get a smartphone plan pretty cheap if ...
Re: International texting
It is included in the more everything plans - just call customer service to verify your account. Existing share everything plans will get migrated (don't know timeframe) but if you have an older plan this will not be included is my understanding.
Call *611 and ask CS
- incoming is included
Re: Too little too latr
They should have adopted android 2 years ago and transitioned bbm and other blackberry services over as an overlay.
I think it is all to late now....
Re: Verizon or Sprint
for two phones I might be wrong but I don't see it being that much cheaper?
Sprint Truly unlimited everything (well unlimited data and messaging if on their smaller Native Network as it doesn't include their roaming partners) is $209
If you can live with 1500 minutes you are looking at $150
You use 4GB...
Verizon would be unlimited talk and text and 6GB (including their roaming partners... so entire network) You would be looking $160
8GB $170
Maybe I am missing something, but doesn't ...
Re: In the market for a new phone!!!
I think it is a size preference really.. personally I think the Note is just to big, other than that both are good devices.
Re: "Cater To" =/= Exclusivity
I am white, speak zero Spanish.... I would still shop there, store looks sweet. I wouldn't drive by it to go to another and wouldn't go out of my way to go to that store specifically, but there is no reason why a non Hispanic wouldn't shop there and buy a phone.
I see no reason why they can't cater, I deal with customers regularly that have a hard time with English. As a business owner why not market ...
Re: That's Right AT&T ....
Now you bring tmobile into the argument? their 220 million hspa+ coverage? You bringing in wimax next?
at&t covers 275 million with hspa+ Not sure how tmobile advertises like they have more than them?
Verizon will cover 300 Million with LTE in the next 5 months, currently 250 million (LTE is almost as big as at&t hspa+ coverage and will pass it in the coming months. It already passes tmobile in terms of covered people. To say Verizon's coverage ...
Re: Samsung Galaxy Nexus
I have been happy with mine except for the antenna (Also had antenna issues with gs3 and every other samsung phone at my house) The battery isn't the greatest either.
I am going back to Motorola, My wife's Razr M picks up far better at my house and my Friends original Razr has 3 bars of 4g and the samsung devices I have had in my home have a hard time even holding a 4g signal in my house. ...
Re: Samsung Galaxy Nexus
I still have mine and like it, battery is not the best but it runs like a champ.
PS. Not sure if you have hhgregg anywhere near you, they are mainly in the midwest. The device is $1 and you get $100 gift card to use in their store....
A lot better than $70...
Re: That's Right AT&T ....
oops... just saw they are 470 markets now...
Re: That's Right AT&T ....
Now... I am not going to try to start a war as you both are on the fringe... but..
I RARELY witnessed hspa+ getting more than 2 mbps in the areas I travel (yes they are major markets and I travel A LOT) I usually see more around 1.5.
I have not seen my 3g run slower than 700kbps in years with Verizon.
Is hspa + faster than Verizon 3g = Absolutely
is it on the same level as LTE, not even ...
Re: Thinking of buying a phone at full retail
I would just hold off and grab an Incredible 4, cost should be less than $500 retail.
Also I suggest calling around to some big box retailers and asking. You might surprised how much retails differs between a Bestbuy, walmart etc...
Re: Recommend a bluetooth headset for Droid Incredible
something that says jawbone on it is usually good. you can find the under $50 if you shop online.
Re: Uhh...yeah
I thought the same thing, I have been in sales for a long time.... hell Mcdonalds is going to make you ask the customer if they want to value size their meal. How dare you try to push more coke on them than they need!
Re: Another early upgrade question (not NE2)
Any Premium Retailer can do an annual upgrade and most premium retailers won't charge the $20 like a corp location would on these. Not sure where you live, hhgrgeg (midwest and east coast) has a premium retailer and they are giving a $100 hhgregg gift card to anyone who upgrades or starts new service till the superbowl. Bestbuy is doing a $50, but I don't think they can do annual upgrades.
If you don't want to wait and you are ...
Re: Contract expiring, what next
MAY!!
You are a little early.... who knows by then the way android has been releasing new products. Probably the RAZR UBERMAX quad core 4 ghz processor and a battery that lasts a year between charges.
Seriously though, check back in May.
Re: Remember
Yeah, I have been a member since 2004 and over the past few years my posts and even visiting here have dwindled to once or twice a month when I used to be here daily. First time I have been in here since Christmas and it is the same posts still on page one..... crazy
Re: Why has not anyone mentioned....
actually believe it or not I think it is a Verizon employee, much like the Verizon test in Home Depot a while ago. If you look at the BJ logos and advertising it does not say Authorized agent, Premium Agent or any of that, just Verizon Wireless.
Re: iphone sold out
i bet we don't see the 5 for almost a full year.... but yes I agree with you, personally I am pumped for the NEXUS
Re: .05/MB overage lol!!!
especially when the "evil big red" charges $10 per GB
Re: Question
yep...people are crazy with these things....
Re: T-mobile HSPA+
I agree but get far more annoyed with carriers calling 1+ mbps 4g.... At least with Verizon I am usually around 15mbps which is a big enough leap in my mind to be 4g.
Re: Talk and Surf
My droid allows both and it drives me nuts.... Someone sends me a text or email and it is vibrating while I am holding it next to my ear.... Annoying at times
iphone sold out
Personally I prefer Droid, however I was in hhgregg today and they said they still had plenty in stock....
they are not nationwide, only midwest and east coast, so that doesn't help everyone, but if you didn't get one and want one this might be an option. They just put Verizon in there so I don't think anyone thought of picking one up there at launch.
Me... waiting for the Nexus or Vigor, if the Iphone 5 has LTE I ...
Re: Best choice on Androids
and I would say neither as they are both end of life and their replacements are basically in route as we speak.
vigor/nexus/bionic
I am less worried about the software issues as these are all now 2nd generation 4g devices. Look at the bionic, they learned and put a 1735mAh battery in it for the very reason that 4g sucks the life out of the phone.
Re: upgrade question for VZW reps
not sure where you live but I saw the Bionic for $229 at hhgregg but they are not nationwide. Radio shack also had the $100 off any phone when they brought Verizon back, not sure if they are still running it.
For me
Iphone 4s no 4g= FAIL
I would get the Bionic or wait for the vigor or nexus.
Re: iPhone 5 vs Droid Bionic
Well The Bionic Is awesome, I am sure the Prime will be awesome and I am betting the Iphone is going to be pretty sick as well.
I think the real question you should ask yourself is Apple or Droid?
Figure that out then you have your answer.
galaxy what.............Samsung droid Prime?
ummm... crap on the galaxy... lookup the samsung droid prime
dual-core, 1.5-GHz SoC from Texas Instruments, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE support, and a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED HD display and will come running Ice Cream Sandwich
who cares about galaxy........
Re: Let's do the math...
I have seen the original galaxy tab for as little as $80 with a plan and 299 without one. I know it is older but still a decent choose. I like the smaller size and can actually throw it in my pocket when I am in a hurry.
Re: Blackberry
I just miss the BES
I would go back to BB in a heartbeat if they came out with something on PAR with some of the high end Droid devices...
I might have even went back for a storm 3...
My dream phone would be when BB gives up on operating systems, developes a device running Android with BES and BBM.. that would be my dream....
Just shrink the playbook down to a 4 inch screen with the android ...

Re: 10 years since the T61c, and Sony Ericson returns
now they just need to bring back the cheap snap on faceplates
Re: Upgrading in Store Vs Online Vs Third Party.. free at
hhgregg just had it in there ad for free. They don't own the retailer in there it is a premium retailer that offers instant rebates. Just don't go through the website as it is ran by wirefly, you have to go in the store for the premium retailer.
Anyway, if you have an hhgregg near you (I know they are not national yet) then you can pick it up for free and since it is a premium retailer ...
Best of both worlds
Not sure where you live, Where I am at one of the big 4 just put kiosks inside hhgregg. So you get a premium retailer not owned by the big box. You get a premium retailer that has Instant Rebates honors NE2, annual upgrades, 1 year contracts and will price match BB. Also their phone protection destroys Asurian.
I got my Incredible for like $99 with the protection included during some promo. If anything happens to my phone they will ...
wait a second?
So I buy a $200 phone (retails at lets say $600)
4 months later i get $300 50%
7 months later i get $240 40%
12 months later i get $180 30%
and it costs $50?
So I pay $50, then 4 months later I hate my phone and want a new $600 retail phone... then I get $300 back.. Take the $50 I paid for the plan so we are talking $250.
Now I have $250 credit but the ...
Re: Droid Incredible + $50 Target Gift Card
as always you should try and do your best to take care of a customer, but in this case I would direct them back to where they purchased the phone.. meaning target.
Now if you work at target...well then shame on you for not knowing
