Just because the store a person walks into has a discontinued phone for sale, doesn't mean RadioShack has held onto it past its expiration. Different stores have different volume of customers. Anyone who's ever worked or shopped at a small-box store knows that.

Actually, its working just fine for RadioShack. Sam's Club decided to privatize wireless and bring on Walmart wireless sales associates and Target has failed to do much of any advertising for wireless. A lot of people didn't even know Target sold post-paid phones. There are a lot of RadioShack locations that are doing better than carrier stores. The only downside RadioShack has is they discontinue phones too quickly. The phone prices are right and ...

in the Article: iPhone 4 Now Free, iPhone 3GS Discontinued forum

RadioShack dropped the price of the 16GB 4S across the board (Sprint, AT&T and Verizon) to $99.99 maybe 10 minutes after the price announcement of the 5. The iPhone 4's remained at $49.99 for now for some weird reason. Inventory will probably be constrained so be aware that you may have to wait a day or two for one to be received from another store. :)

tjobrien21 said: Unfortunately, most of the videos/video players on websites are Flash based. And having Flash was a great way to get around the "not for mobile" thing you'll get on Youtube (why wouldn't a video be for mobile, anyway? Who cares what you're watching it on?) Flash isn't something I used a lot, but it was a nice tool to have available. I'll be making a backup, I'm not ready to let it go yet. I have the most recent version ...

GeeksAreBest said: Those places also sub-contract you so that if you change your plan within the first 6mo. w/o using their services you'll have to fork out up to $250 (most of the third party contracts are like that.) Not technically true. It's true thru most online sites but not at RS. If the service is cancelled within 90 days and the phone(s) isn't returned the customer will be charged for the unactivated cost of the phone (minus what ...

Sounds like someone's bitter about the competition. It's all in how you're trained no matter what core or indirect company you work for. The companies can set how each associate is trained but it's all in the trainer to set forth company expectations. No corporate RadioShack currently has or has ever had any kind of policy that says "let's sell the highest plan or do whatever it takes to gain the sale." Any person doing ...

Wal-Mart might. Historically, 98% of all corporate Sprint stores are known for their horrid customer service. As an RS associate for over 10 years, I've got customers who will go out of their way to go to a RadioShack over a Sprint store because A) They don't have to wait 45 minutes just to talk to someone and B) We'll actually take the time to go over things with them. Not saying corp stores don't but ...

And the sky is falling too. There is no carrier that is 100% perfect anywhere. Each carrier has their faults. That's -TRUE-. The only way anyone can legitimately say their carrier gives them flawless coverage is if they never travel outside their box. That, my friend, is the truth. There isn't anything said that since one carrier came out with said feature, another couldn't do the same. If that were the case, ...

I you wanna get technical, and from someone who's worked in the wireless market for over 10 years, each and every national wireless company has the right to terminate your service, and charge you an ETF, mind you, if you CONSECUTIVLY "roam" off a competitors tower for 50% or more of your alloted minutes. In example, you are alloted 900 minutes on your plan. If for 3 consecutive months you are using 450 or more minutes roaming ...
