OK so let's do some math. If I buy the galaxy s5 with t-mobile. And assume I have good credit and I finance $650. At the end of 1 year if I want to cancel I still owe $325. If I have Verizon and want to cancel after one year the ETF is $220. $10 off every month you complete in the contract.

Yeah but Verizon is 5 dollars cheaper for the same plan as T-mobile. Unlimited talk and text and 1GB of internet for T-mobile is $50 for Verizon is $45.

So just like with Verizon and AT&T you fulfill the service agreement by paying some amount of money that goes down every month you complete in teh service agreement.

Isn't that the same thing. Its still a contract and you have to pay to get out of it.

Well with Verizon and AT&T they are called service argreements and not contracts. Basically this is just a contract for the phone not the service. But with AT&T and VZW you aren't locked into the phone for any period of time either. You can always buy a new phone.

Re: Question?

So I have to make monthly payments on the phone. Isn't that a contract?

Re: Question?

So if I want to go to t-mobile and want to get the Galaxy s 5 but I only have like $200 how can I get that phone and a plan with T-mobile?

Question?

Isn't T-Mobile supposed to be contract free now?

That is effectively the same thing. 2G speeds are equivalent to dial up speeds and on a smartphone with today's internet you need at lease 3G to make things useful.

Hardly when I use roughly 2000x more data than that for 40 bucks a month.

Why would that even affect him. T-mobile doesn't even sell a fourth of the cellphone in the US. They are such a small company.

Well except for T-mobile. I mean I rather had crappy data speeds than no data speeds. Can T-mobile phones even make phones calls anywhere?

Most if not all Verizon 4G phones use SVDO. Same as Sprint.

>>>>AT&T and T-Mobile have an advantage for the moment. Early LTE devices on Sprint and Verizon (and US Cellular and MetroPCS, etc., too) could not do simultaneous voice and data either This is completely wrong. The very first LTE phone for Verizon the HTC Thunderbolt could not only do voice and LTE at the same time but also voice and 3G.

Yeah but CDMA is 2G. Why would you want to use 2G internet anyways. Its a fast as dial up. I would rather use 4G if not at least 3G. You can do that.

No that would be incorrect. Its Blackberry ecouraging its customer to get with a better carrier. And let's face it T-mobile has no coverage and those customer were probably already thinking about leaving anyways.

Its more like blackberry is encouraging its customer to get with a better and more comprehensive carrier. That is a good thing for their customers.

Reread my post. LTE Advanced does reach 100mb/s and all that LTE equipment can and will eventually be upgraded. However, that's a moot point because LTE networks do actually represent a 4th generation buildout of a new network. So, in that sense they are 4G. So you did ...

SD cards are lame and need to be taken away. We need more internal memory. Removable batteries are so 90's and are unnecessary and also lame. I sell phones and I hear maybe 3 people a year wanting a physical keyboard. I've heard one person complain about an overly sensitive touch screen. And never heard about someone butt dialing someone with a smartphone or accidentally opening up an app while in their pocket.
