Is it wrong, that I get wood when I read about another Android update? :paranoid:
Re: Having a monopoly is not illegal
Agreed!! Leave Google alone, they RULE!!
Re: What is NFC?
I'm pretty sure, to be ISIS compatable, it just needs a special sim card, and an app.
This is the best cellphone news I've ever heard!! I hate Verizon apps!! Now, give me the ability to remove the Verizon bloatware apps from my phone that are taking up MY space, and I will be very happy!
Re: took long enough
Exactly... So the carriers need to stop putting their filthy hands on the OS, and stop adding their bloatware that we don't use & don't want!! And maybe that would save the time & money it takes to get updates out to us.
Re: took long enough
I would still like to get ICS for my Droid 3... but the slow a-holes at Verizon will just ignore us now and expect me to buy a new phone... I can't afford a new phone every time Google updates Android, I want support for my current device, which is more than capable of handling ICS!! :x
Re: Yay Google!
Thanks for pointing that out... I still stand by my comment.
Re: Misleading title
Agreed, that's how I read it.
Androids are gonna rule the world!!
Androids are gonna rule the world!!
Here we go...
More bloatware that Verizon will put on new Android phones that we can't uninstall! I would never use a Verizon made app because they are crap! And I guess I'm a poet & didn't know it...
Re: Fame and Fortune.
Well said sir!! Go Google & Android!!
that they will add some more of there crappy bloatware... and still not give us the option of uninstalling it.
LOL! I totally agree! Besides, isn't there already a service like this called... youtube??
Well, Motorola should be the first phones to get the new Android operating system updates, which is exciting to me since I love the Motorola Android phones!!
Re: Banned until...
As an independent agent for Verizon, I have seen issues with every brand of phone at some point. By your logic, I should talk customers out of getting ANY phone... Good day Mr. Troll
:D Google & Motorola, the perfect combination!!
Hmmm... I read very well, thank you. But I read the article again, and still think it could be taken either way. Maybe he should've said, I don't think this will cause us to lose any customers. But I'm glad you pointed that out, because now I have even more of a reason to be angry. Now I interpret this as saying, well we keep on adding fees, and taking services away, with no consequences, so why not charge ...
Shammo noted that he doesn't think the price increases will cost Verizon customers, and pointed to the company's recently implemented $30 upgrade fee. Shammo said Verizon Wireless didn't see "any impact from a customer base from that fee. 8O Sounds like he is living under a rock, and didn't read or hear about all the forum posts on Phonescoop or Verizonwireless.com from all of the customers expressing their outrage over the $30 upgrade fee, & taking away our ...
Thanks Ruff, that is exactly the point I was trying to make, and the way I was trying to explain it. :)
Because Verizon is the only major carrier I can get where I live. I'm glad that you enjoy & are willing to "bend over and take it", but I get tired of the big corperations bullying us around just because they can. They force things upon us, like the unlimited data plan, then when we get used to that, they take it away!! "Just 'cuz you got the power, that don't mean you got the right" - Lemme from Motorhead
So now when I upgrade, (or I should say IF I upgrade) I can look forward to paying a $30 upgrade fee, and getting my unlimited data plan taken away!! Wow Verizon, just wow...
Are they trying to punish us?
An upgrade is supposed to be a discount on a new phone as an incentive to renew your contract with them. Now they are saying, we want you to renew your contract with us, but we will penalize you for doing so?? Doesn't make much sense... 8O
Re: One Could Only Imagine.
Verizon has already been doing this... I was getting SPAMMED by them pushing ads to my notification bar. I called them to complain, and they removed me from the list.
Re: The Real Problem with Android Updates
Alot of what you said is exactly what I was saying, only you went into more detail. And I agree, and wish we could get the updates straight from Google. But if you are saying that the Motorola Driod 3 wasn't a good phone, and wasn't very popular, then I have to strongly disagree. I own the Droid 3, and love it. I am also the manager of an indirect Verizon store, and even though our store is ...
Re: Said it before and I'll say it again...
Agreed. And I hope Google is able to buy Motorola so they can start developing software on Motorola phones first.
Re: What about Droid 3??
8O Wow... Just wow. First off, learn to spell, or to use spell check... Secondly, if Motorola makes such "crappy" phones, why is Google in the process of buying them? You do know that the Android operating system is by Google right?? And if you think that the big carriers don't have any say about what goes into the phones made for them, or which ones get updates, and in what order, etc, then you really are ignorant. ...
What about Droid 3??
Typical Verizon behavior, update the newest phones, and an odd mix of older phones... This lack of support for EVERY phone that should get this update, and your bloatware apps that you try to push on us, is the reason that people (not me...yet) root their phones.
STILL no video chat for Moto Droid 3??
Come on Verizon... what about 2.3 for Motorola Droid or Droid 2? This lack of support for "older" phones is unacceptable.
Re: I find it somewhat insulting
This strategy has the exact opposite affect on me. I will NEVER use skype, amazon mp3, city id, or Verizon back-up assistant, since they pre-installed them on my phone, and don't give me the option to remove them!! I get really tired of having to go into running services, and shutting down these unneeded, unwanted apps just so I can cut down on battery usage! And Verizon, putting Bing as the default search on an Google Android phone is an ...
It's about time...
Now if Verizon would announce 2.3 for my Droid 2, I'll be happy... Why are Motorola & Verizon so slow at getting these updates out?? It really sickens me. :x
AT&T also took over the Alltel towers in eastern Montana. And as a Verizon dealer, I couldn't be happier, because most people have been porting their numbers over to Verizon because they don't want to go to AT&T!! :-)...
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
Don't sugar coat it, tell them how you really feel... lol.
Still no flash support?
