I have the same "problem" but I don't think it's a problem unless you keep thinking about it. The hinge actually feels great compared to other phone's I've tried.

actually I changed the iTAP german or whatever to iTAP english so that's fixed...the other problem?

Hello, So I followed tracymarie's guide to flashing, and I did run into the reverse flip problem. However, I followed her instructions and the phone seems to be working fine now. However, the bug I noticed about my ring style changing everytime I plug in my phone has not gone away. Also, I now have a new bug since I can't send any text messages in English despite changing the Language setting. I think the txt messages are ...

I have the same problem with MP3 ready NO thing. I can't access my miniSD card either, so I don't know what's going on. I can't play any mp3s. On top of that, my phone changes ring style everytime I plug it in to charge...my phone is 24R now, so I guess I'm going to have to flash it? I'm just a little hesitant because I don't want to mess up my phone...

With the 850 band. I know for a fact that I can't use a phone on Cingular without an 850 band in my area, so I can't purchase any of the ones on eBay... Thanks in advance.

Hello, It's not gonna come out on Cingular or T-Mobile right? From all the great reviews, I'm thinking about purchasing this phone since I have to get one unlocked. Let me know where I should get it. Thanks in advance.

Does anybody know how much this phone costs with a 2 year or 1 year plan at Cingular? I don't want to get a new number, so I guess I can't sign up with a new plan at letstalk. I went to a local Cingular store here in Palo Alto, and they didn't have the phone yet :cry: I can't get the phone until my plan expires in October anyways. lemme know. thanks in advance

I just lost my Nokia 6230, and I was thinking about getting this phone unlocked from myworldphone or gsmphoneplanet. Which site is better? I've heard nothing but great things about this phone, but I wanted to know for sure if it would work well (reception-wise) in the bay area, northern california with Cingular. I think one of the reviews mentioned it worked fine with Cingular in California, but I wanted to know if anybody specifically knew about the bay area. ...

Hey everyone, I lost my beloved Nokia 6230 at IKEA of all places, and it has yet to be found. Right now, I got a new sim card and I'm using it with an old jenky phone. The sad thing is that the Cingular rep said that I can't get a new phone with a plan until October 15, one month before my contract expires. I was wondering if any of ya'll can give me some insight. I had that same problem. It was annoying, and if I remember correctly...I just used my computer to access my memory card using bluetooth and deleted it from there.

Hello, I'm trying to connect my nokia 6230 to a regular aux port, and I heard that I need some special nokia data cable to do so...I just want to connect my phone to my car stereo so that I can play mp3's. I checked out best buy and radioshack and neither of them had the cord I need. Anybody know what I need and where to get it? thanks, ~Vic
