Re: signal strenght
This phone is getting EXCELLENT reception for me everywhere (Cingular). Must be a prob with your specific phone...have them replace it with another...and replace your SIM card as well...could be a compatibility issue.
Re: 8525 vs 8700c
Having to dismiss notifications for every little thing, deleting mail items multiple times, having to always pull down the mailbox menu to select each and every mail account, no PUSH email, etc...
I'm sure there are some ways to customize these options to make it more "streamlined".
Any particular pointers/tips I should be aware of?
8525 vs 8700c
I have been using the 8525 for about 2 days now and I think its a great PDA phone!
What I can't decide is whether or not to switch back to my Blackberry. I LOVE my Blackberries (past and present) and have nothing against them...but I love trying new phones.
The 8525 is really advanced and has some great features, I just get frustrated when I have to go through 2-3 additional steps to do the simplest of tasks.
Are there any ...
On-screen keypad question...
Anyone having this problem?
Whenever I am filling in fields and I press TAB, the on-screen keypad keeps coming up...any thoughts on how to disable this automatic function? Thanks!
Re: Help - 8525 or Blackjack ?
You are exactly right, the main factor is that the Blackjack is running a broken/slimmed down version of the PocketPC OS, therefore limiting your options.
Go with the 8525...unless your in San Antonio, then get the Blackjack so maybe I can find an 8525 :D
Re: E62 for cingular
Already released, most major markets should have gotten it by late last week (Friday).

Sorry, nevermind :)
Re: E62 Cingular
Where is this file located?
Re: E62 Cingular
Can you please tell me how you got this to sync with MacOS X??
Re: Does iIt Have A Camara?
No camera, don't believe it has vibrate either...will check on this though.
MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS PHONE:
NO BACKLIGHT FOR THE KEYPAD...ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE IN THE DARK UNLESS YOU TILT THE SCREEN WAY DOWN!!
Re: Price
$450 full retail
w/ new service or upgrade discount:
$350 in store (additional $50 rebate)
Final Price: $300 (not bad at all)
Re: Any updated release info?
Lol...no, don't get a Treo!
The 9300 arrived it most Cingular stores nationwide late this week (Thursday). Most stores should have them already or by early next week...but hurry, they WILL sell out quickly!
Re: Blackberry Support
My initial report on the Blackberry support:
Works pretty well! Not quite as simple of an interface as the Blackberry (expected), but still works good!
Re: featuress??
I don't know if it lists this on the feature list, but it does come with AIM installed as well as ICQ & Yahoo! Messenger.
Re: Ringtones
What audio program are you using to play back these audio files? I cannot find a program to play these files. I would like to preview them first.
Thanks
Re: No 8700c????
I don't know why its not up...going to be avaliable in my Cingular store here in San Antonio on the 21st...hopefully :D
Re: where can you get the unit
avaliable at my store here in San Antonio, TX
Re: At Cingular Soon?
Lets hope so...
Re: Any update on release date in US
And who from Cingular gave you this information? I work for Cingular and have heard nothing.
Either way, hope its true...
Re: At Cingular Soon?
This has nothing to do with the carrier, it has to do with the manufacturer getting the problems with the deviced fixed and being able to mass produce it on time.
Nokia, Motorola, LG, Samsung, etc all say we are getting new devices by 'x' date and 95% of the time this does not happen, BECAUSE of the manufacturer, not Cingular.
Re: "COMING SOON" Cingular web page gone
I work for Cingular and have been trying to figure that out myself. No luck...AT ALL. If and when I hear/find something I will post it here.
Re: At Cingular Soon?
UMTS on the 6515? Highly doubtful...I believe they are saving that for its bigger brother (6715?).
Re: At Cingular Soon?
I work for Cingular and I still have heard NOTHING about this phone.
Can't wait to get it, but I don't see it coming anytime soon. Hope I'm wrong.
Re: Customers are so funny
I get this all the time in my store - everytime there is a problem, it has to do with the merger. "My phone has been acting funny since..."
We haven't changed anything yet people, NOTHING. I don't understand where this idea comes from :o
Re: Blackberry and Dell Axim Bluetooth LInk
I don't think the Blackberry has a "dial-up access gateway" as a bluetooth function. Not 100% sure, but almost. Thats what the other guy was talking about in his thread about "crippling" the bluetooth to allow very limited functions of it.
Re: Bluetooth
He is talking about wirelessly (sp?) syncing his blackberry contacts/calander with his computer as you can with some PocketPC's. This is also a feature I would like to use, but cannot. Hopefully a software update in the future may allow it, or perhaps a newer model.
Re: Does anyone know if the 7290 is going to be avaiable for t-mobile?
RIM has indicated that this model is avaliable only for AT&T/Cingular. There may be a different model coming out for T-Mobile, but to my CURRENT knowledge, not the 7290.
Re: Does anyone know if the 7290 is going to be avaiable for t-mobile?
As far as I know, never
Re: quick oppinions. Nokia 6620 or Audiovox 5600?
I have used both phones and really liked them...but what exactly are you looking to do with the phone?
If you aren't going to use the Audiovox w/ the SmartPhone capabilities is has, then I would prob say to go w/ the Nokia. A little easier to use in some respects...
But if you need the PocketPC interface for any reason, stick w/ the Audiovox.
Re: ATTWS Reps
I have not been waiving any fees or promising too
Re: ATT in NYC area
Yeah, go with Cingular if you want to have no GSM coverage for the next year until the merger happens...IF it happens...
Cingular and GSM don't mix...if you want GSM, especially along the east coast and in NYC...AT&T is the only way to go.
Re: Hello
wtf is going on here? lol...
Re: Monsey, NY (Rockland County)
Our coverage along the east coast is very good...but I still can't say for certain. But I would bet the coverage would be fine.
Also, after the merger, the coverage will only get better.
Go to www.attwireless.com and choose 'Start with Plans', then enter the zip code and choose to look at the local map.
Re: t720
Discontinued down here in Texas...we will not carry it in the stores anymore.
Re: For ATT Wireless Store Employees
A lead ususally makes around $15/Hour plus comission. I am not going to post anything about our comission structure, just because I don't feel like leaking proprietary (sp?) company information.
I will say the pay is very good, if she can sell.
Why doesn't she just ask who offered her the job?!?
Re: AT&T Mmode Button
Hmmm...interesting. I don't know how to do that off the top of my head, but I will look into it for you.
I use mMode all the time, but no need for that button there with the 'Online' button right on the side of the phone.
Give me some time and I'll get you an answer.
Re: Best bluetooth headset?
I have used many different bluetooth headsets and the best one I have used so far is the Motorola HS810. And it has been working great w/ my T637.
Re: battery life
If your only having to charge it every other day, thats not bad at all...
Question is...why don't you charge it every night?
Also, make sure your bluetooth is turned off. If you aren't using it, then it is wasting battery power.
