I believe the software is available free at the Sprint website. If you want the SnapSync or SnapMedia software, you have to buy those... but the basic software to download pics and stuff from your PC is free, AFAIK.

Well, it turns out the eBayer who sold me the phone as "brand new" was lying! :roll: :evil: I noticed a small scratch on the base, so I figured maybe the phone was damaged. I sent the phone away to a third party repair center and they replaced the microphone as well as the main board, both of which were damaged.

I just got the 6400 and I think it's a step up from my outdated Samsung N200. The Samsung wasn't getting good reception for the past several weeks, so I decided it was time for a change.
The 6400 is good so far, overall. It seems to get slightly better reception than the N200 (I'm in a crappy area, surrounded by high-rises that block most of the signals, so I don't expect stellar service.)
