I'd like an iPhone too and now that there is a CDMA iPhone it gets harder to understand why USCC is not on board with one. I've got my hopes up for an iPhone 5 model.

I agree that the number of good notso smart phones is slim. They did add the Samsung Chrono reently but it is not much, the Wine 2 is a better phone. If they want to upsell me to a smart phone they better offer the one I want! E.G. A new iPhone.

But it's not a cellphone- :roll: It's a tablet like the iPad. Whether this is successful depends on how they price the data. I'm not at all optimistic that they will have a competitive plan and by competitive I mean as good as the ATT deal for the iPad. I pay $15 for 250MB data per month and that's all I need. What it appears to be for a lot of us is an attempt to move from a cost based somewhat ala'cart structure to a more bundled fixed rate one. I have been a customer for over 10 years and was waiting for a new plan to be offered but I wanted to spend less money for more features not more money. Yes there are some nice features bundled but I am still looking at a higher plan cost ...

I wasn't aware that USCC was losing customers. I supose that ATT and the iPhone draw some. Mostly my dissatisfaction revolves around the small home area- if they added free roaming time to the local area contracts I would be happy. As it is I don't want to pay an extra $10 a month for 30 minutes of non rollover roaming time. The data service is terrible. I have an ATT data only option for only $15 ...

You're not going to get them to say much. There is big time secrecy on this but I do agree with you that it seems unlikely that this will turn out to be anything industry changing. I suspect we will know around November what the deal is and if it was worth the hype. Best advice for now is just ignore it all and don't build up your expectations.

So how is that different than we now have??? I was unhappy with my phone and USCC swapped it out for a different "used" phone. It was a 30 day return and basically new. There was no charge or contract update. Seems to me we already have this part. Why does this project mythos have to be stretched out so long? Just do it, there is no reason to delay this until after Thanksgiving.

the earliest holiday season date I can see is the Thanksgiving holiday. That's longer away than one might think with the hints going around.

Not even if it's the iPhone? 8O Cult of Mac article: Talks between Apple and T-Mobile are at an advanced stage, our source says, and it's 80 percent likely that the iPhone will be coming to T-Mobile in Q3. The source works at T-Mobile but asked not to be quoted directly and to remain anonymous because they aren't authorized to talk to the press.

any truth in a phone swap? How would it work? I have a crush I would love to swap but if it is only a swap for an in stock refurb then I doubt I would be able to get a decent phone. so when can we expect this??

That screen going blank when the phone connects a call is not acceptable. I can't get into voice mail if I can't dial numbers.. Took it back and was told this is a known issue and my phone has to be sent back for repair. Now I've got a beat up Wine but even that is more usable than that Crush. (Ironic name) At least in 8 weeks I can renew a contract and get ...

I went in and got the softare updated. It is now R614_00.OE12P. I notice a problem now with it going into screen blank/ear mode and then not coming out of it for the call duration when before it would not go into it. Can't say that is an improvement but I will keep using it for a while to see if the usability has improved overall. I'm looking into getting a used different phone off ebay

There is software update? I would sure like to try it. Just a while ago I was trying to activate the speakerphone and it would not do it. This last week it has taken to making text messages on its own and trying to send them out. This phone is possessed!

I've really had it with this Moto Crush. I got it on Thanksgiving with the hope that it would be a cool phone but it has been a pain instead. The touch interface is difficult to wade through and it often does things I don't want it to do or won't do things I want it to.. example in a call if I want to get to the keyboard I have to work back to the main ...

I have it. It has it's issues but I don't see anything else I would like more at the monthly price point I want. I have mobile internet on it for $15 a month and I get my email and a somewhat frustrating internet browsing experience. But to do better I have to go with a $25 plan and a bigger phone with a sliding keyboard. At least with Easy Edge I am not ...

It's available today! Nice phone and the keyboard is soo much easier in putting in new contacts and calendar info. it has a 2mp camera which can do video.

The Motorola Barrage V860 just came up on the news page and Verizon (CDMA) is mentioned as getting it. From the specs and pictures this sounds like the Quantico that we are supposed to get. Can anyone confirm that it is or not?

Hmm the boulder is something I would be interested in. I like the compass and flashlight and you gotta love the mil spec toughness of it. It would have to be the version with the camera of course.. That would be a great alternative to all those smart phones that require a data plan. I'm sick of those. So when is the question.

New phone on the front page. It is CDMA and the camera is awesome! Verizon is getting it first but is USCC going to pick this up?? First phone in quite a while that has the camera features I want. Please Please USCC can I have it??? :-)...

That is a problem. The National 1000 promo is $49 but I need an extra line. The family National 1000 promo has two lines but is $69 so you are paying $20 for an extra line. Not so good a deal I think. What does it cost to add a line to the basic National 1000 promo or can't you? If you can't then no deal as $69 is not what I will spend, I'll keep ...

It depends on what the charge is for a second phone. If it's $10 then that is only $5 more than what I pay and I get me some roaming included. I would go for that but not if the second line is $15 or 20..

The new axle from samsung doen't appear to neeed a data plan. :D Otherwise I agree that way too many of these new phones require an expensive data package.

I DO get free incomming but I have to pay $15 for a second line. I don't care about texting people (I'm old school - just talk to them dammit!) and incomming texts are free so no gain there. The only thing I want in a new plan is some free roaming time or extended service area but it makes no sense to have to pay another $10 for this "free" feature. USCC just wants me to spend more ...

What new plans? I was just looking at what was offered and it was crap. Nothing to match what I have had for 5 years- 1000 minutes for $39 and unlimited after 9 and weekends plus free incoming. Is there anything to match that? If not why not? I thought call time was supposed to get cheaper not more expensive.
