tri-mode only in canada via telus. In america it's all digital. No verizon won't let you buy the canadian one and let you switch over, and why would you wanna pay over $200 for a phone that you can get for $70 anyways. I've thought about it too :D

it IS tri-mode. Same phone EXCEPT that it has new software.

You see video games that are advertised 2 years before you can even put money down to hold one (ie. doom3, half life). I think the v810 has a much better chance of coming out sooner. But then again i could be wrong, i don't really know. I'm just waiting till that first week of july and if it doesn't drop, than i'm dropping money on something else. I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT!!!

I have a feeling you're right about that release date. I'm not a phone junkie or anything, i'm just shopping for a good phone. No official word, just "buzz" and one single txt from motorola themselves. That's not enough for me. The v810 seems more promising. I need a tri-mode phone from what people tell me because of my location. Anyways, i'm not totally desperate for a phone so i can wait a month or 2 to see what ...

I would pick the v710 for one main reason....built in bluetooth!!! that means alot to me so i think i've made my decision. Patience is something else though

FYI, i had a timeport that was just another version of that startac....I still think it was my favorite phone. Not only did it have great connection but it also had a black screen with glowing green numbers....I hope this v710 doesn't dissapoint. Friend og mine has me al signed up for the v710. All i gotta do is wait for it to drop, then i shall rule the WORLD!!! :twisted:
