Cingular doesn't own the name Razr, Moto does and if they wanted to they could name every phone they put out Razr (that would get a little confusing), the cdma version, as far as I've heard, is going to be called Razr.
Also in response to prior post, if you always waited for the next thing to come out with the newest and best features you would never get a phone, there is always going to be something better ...

Circuit city stores are going to sell it on the 3rd because of ads already set to run. retail stores, online, and other indirect sales will have it on the 5th.
Sorry folks, no OBEX, DUN, or TF audio file transfer.
Thats right VZW has taken it one step further and disabled DUN :x . They have also disabled OBEX and audio transfer from the TF card to the phone as with the 710. Now all we can do is find a seem edit to fix what has been broken.

I can assure you that this price is legit, unless VZW decides to change there mind. It has been posted all over HoFo and phone scoop for one, and I work at a VZW corporate store and saw the info files. There will be no OBEX or DUN, no audio file transfer via TF card, per pages 29 and 52 of the users manual. The price and release date are as previously stated.

They didn't go with the 810 because the antenna was visible through the camera. the 265 is just a redesigned 810 so the 810 would have probably have had the same problems.

I received a simular e-mail. Yes it is on back order, it is out of stock in some areas. Moto isn't producing them fast enough. VZW is expecting large shipments begining of next month, until then there may be small shipments. The same thing happened with the v265.

does it alow you to access the t-flash card through the media gallery (sellect type of media, hit menu, and select switch storage device). If it does it should be a easy as putting the tf card in your pc, loading pix, vids, MP3's, etc. Put the card in the phone and under media gallery sellect the ones you want on the phone and hit menu, move/copy (if you have to old software or seem edit).

I can't even get a call through with my 710 in an analog area most of the time. Luckily I don't run into alot of analog.

Not only that but alot of people feel it necessary to charge the phone with the CLA while talking on the phone. I see this more than anything.

With the new flash for the 710 it should be. If you have the old flash the most it would do is freeze the phone.
Does the card work in your PC, if so remove all files and start with a fresh format from the phone. Don't know if it will work but it's worth a shot.
If not see if they will exchange it wherever you bought it.

I don't know what Radio Shack stores you visit but the ones I go to (and have worked at) the employees know less about what they are selling than any VZW rep I have known. I was almost ashamed to work at Radio Shack, I knew more than anyone there, including the manager, about everything there. I even impressed the RS DM by using the simple term discreet components.

There will be no analog EVDO phones. I would take to many circuits (analog, digital, EVDO). Also the analog side is being phased out, before any of you say it wont be for years or there is still tons of analog areas, it is happening and will continue to happen despite disputes. It is a fact of technology, it advances. Notice the PCMCIA cards VZW sells, none of them have have all three.

Verizon employees at the store level don't know anything about new phones until about two weeks prior to release. Unless the actively search the web etc. so most of the people you talk to wont know jack s#!+. I can tell you that it is on its way and the late June prediction is a good one.

First format it through menu, phone info, storage devices, menu, format. then you can move pics etc. to the card by going into the media galery, highlight a file and hit menu, copy or move.

I used to be able to with smaller #s when I was in school and hex was forced down you throats, but I have no steady use for it now.
What carrier VZW and yes on the box it is in both, but if someone comes in with a phone, behind the battery it's all hex :x .

That is just hex. Hex consists of 16 characters, 0-9 and A-F.

which is why you'll usually see both the decimal and hex representations printed on the label of any CDMA phone. Yes most, but LG has stuck with the old school HEX format. makes it a pain to do ESN changes for those of us at the store level when it asks for a dec. ESN.

The only function disabled by the flash is trans-flash transfer of audio files :evil: but there are ways around this :D . Your connection to the internet should be fine 8) .

Sory for the delay in responce. Sounds to me like a bad headset or phone. I would take them to a tech to test w/ another beadset and phone and fis it or replace one for you.

Because lg is a toy that anyone can learn in 5-10 miniutes (including sales reps), Moto requires you to sit down with is and tweak, learn, and adapt (which most sales reps care not to do). If you want an honest oppinion about a phone ask for someone who has it. I know 6 VZW employees who have and love the 710, and numerous more that want it or the 840. They have to be smaller than a certian size but you can pix them to a bogus phone# (000)000-0000. It won't beable to send and it will save to your out box. save it from there and you're done.

did it find any devices. if it did there should be an option to connect, when you tell it to connect it will ask for a pin code it should be 0000. It should then connect after that.

press and hold the button on the headset until the light goes solid. in the phone under settings, connections, blue tooth link, hands free, select search for device. It should find it and ask if you want to connect.

To change back to the old firmware you would need a cable and the Motorola PST software. It just so happens that these are the main two things you need for the seem edit, and the seem edit gives you all of the advantages of the new software (greater stability, connects with more BT cars, etc...) and still lets you transfer your ring tones and MP3s.

Th e only other thing you will need is a Motorola data cable, you can find them on ebay for cheap.
