I travel in upper Michigan and use Verizon. I need a phone that can pull a signal in when out in the woods. I know that I should have analog roaming ability with my Audiovox 9900 but can't pull a signal. What Verizon phone (current or discontinued) has the best signal strength.

I kinda agree. I think it is good news for the companies but not so good news for us the consumers. In the past few weeks we have gone from the "big 5" down to the "super big 3." Less competition the worse off for us.

Dose anyone know if you can force a Verizon phone to use the Sprint PCS (1900) network? Say you have a weak signal where you live but a friend has a strong PCS signal could you make your phone use the 1900 band instead of the 800. If this is possible would Vernon charge you because you would be roaming on another network?
