Re: Pre Orders from Verizon
I've gotten mine up to a week early with previous orders. Generally from my experiences, the date is relatively accurate.
Re: I swear, if people complain about this one...
I would really like to switch to the new XL plan, but my device access fees would go up $ 5.00 per phone, making the new plan $ 30.00 more per month. :(
Re: Access Fees
Access fees are 15.00 per smartphone if they are owned(no contract) or on the edge plan.
Re: A Cheap Copy
I agree with you-
Expiration of rollover data within 1 billing cycle is an obvious slight improvement..... 6 months or a year would be a lot better deal. IMO
Bit More Complicated
I understand the logic, but it seems like it'd make things a lot harder for people to understand. Or is that the goal anyhow?
Re: And here we see the real reason they fixed iMessage...
I read the article about Apple finally fixing the problem and I was thinking "Finally"!
But now, I see that they really had no choice. It's sad that it had to resort to this first.
Promos are good, but....
Instead of doing promotion after promotion and making it sound like we are all getting a great deal, why not create reasonable plans with good value and cut out all the crap?
Re: LAME
If it was 3gb, then I might agree with Sprint on being a decent plan.
Re: Preordered today!
Congrats, I preordered mine too. I am coming from an iPhone, I have my fingers crossed that I love it!
Re: carriers
Yeah, I didn't realize that there was such a difference between the iPhone and other devices. I mocked up a pre-order at VZW for a Note 4 and they show 8.00 per month for Total Protection with a $ 99.00 deductible. I guess that does make it better than I originally thought- especially since they cover stolen devices as well.
Chris
Re: carriers
Yep, was an iPhone 5.
Re: carriers
Well, the last phone that I had insurance on through VZW was $ 8.18 per month, which included the extended warranty plan.
My deductible was $ 169.00 and for two years the premium accumulated total would be $ 196.32. I'd say that I will probably choose Samsung Protection Plus or AppleCare in the future.
I think, and correct me if I wrong, the only problem you'll have going this route is if- your phone is stolen.

Re: FINALLY
Since I have to wait until November to get an upgrade, I'll have some time to compare the Note 4 to the 6 Plus. I've been kind of wanting a Note 3 for a while, but didn't care for the cheap looking sides(IMO). If the Note 4 is cheaper than the iPhone 6 Plus, that could be a real pro..... but I'm doubtful about that. Of course, the lowest Note 4 would still have more storage.
Re: Awesome!!!
I agree. Now, this is a great start!
Maybe now, they'll do this for a few other great devices.
Re: Great!
Thanks!
Re: Great!
Is this just a plan for the iPhone as of now?
Re: Overpriced still
When you mention, no discounts..... does that mean discounts through my employer would be excluded too?
Re: Fail
+1
Re: google now
I use an iPhone and I'd love to see that too. Siri is useless.
Good job Sprint
I was hoping to see Thumb Cellular(Michigan rural carrier) on that list. All in all- I think it's a move in the right direction.
What carrier will be next?
I wonder which carrier will follow suit next.... Seems to be an industry standard. :?
Re: The problem is real
I sometimes think that it's a way to get people to stay with an iPhone. Just to "avoid the hassle" of this.
Re: The problem is real
When moving over to Android from an IOS device, people have problems getting text messages too. Is this one of the problems they are referring to?
Chris
Re: Two Words
My thoughts exactly. You only "think" your on Wi-Fi until the bill comes.
Re: data
2GB is 2048 MB of data. 1024 = 1 GB
Re: there you go
Agreed. I actually just went to Sprint from Verizon and to my surprise the experience has been good so far. My area has been upgraded to the new hardware and LTE has been working like a charm. And... my phone bill is only 25 + tax! Let's hope the service remains stable.
Stupid
I am an iPhone user and the fact that I have to use this ugly case is such a joke!! Apple, step up your game or I am out.
What happens to current contract people?
If I am in a contract, would I have to cancel the contract and pay my ETF if I don't want to wait another 1 1/2 to get on the EDGE program?
Thanks
Re: Leasing spectrum
Wouldn't it make a difference if they only own the LTE licenses in those areas? They still need other licenses for their voice network don't they?
Re: Why The AT&T - T-Mobile Deal Fall Through Was Good
More like this- I finally got sick of it.
Re: Why The AT&T - T-Mobile Deal Fall Through Was Good
Thanks for pointing that out- I now use Verizon. As a matter of fact, I just paid a $ 500.00 bill from AT&T to get out of my contract and switch to Verizon. If that doesn't tell you how bad my EDGE service was then I don't know what would.
Re: Why The AT&T - T-Mobile Deal Fall Through Was Good
I understand the whole thing that "other carriers are doing it." However that doesn't mean AT&T has to be just as evil. It's so ridiculous that carriers can't differentiate themselves from the others. God forbid someone actually deliver a great product at a reasonable price. AT&T should offer a better return policy and lower prices in my area cause their service is sub-par at best.
Re: Kansas
I am waiting too. I live near Detroit and still only LTE on Verizon here.
Re: Dude, you didn't hear ?
you just made my night! Lol
Hmm, Apple
I wonder how long it will take Apple to sue over the looks of this device. They should have shaped it like a banana to be safe! lol
Re: How sweet
I am excited for Sprint to deploy LTE in the Detroit area. I really want to leave AT&T for Sprint.... I am just waiting for Sprint to bring network vision to the D. Hopefully they don't disappoint me and can gain new customers through network vision.
Re: This phone blows iPhone 4S out of the water....
Very nice article. I have been thinking about upgrading one of my phones and it's nice to have some insight from someone who actually knows. Maybe the Iphone 5 will aww me, but I doubt it.
Re: Target
I don't know how much truth there is to it, but.... When I bought my iphone at Target the salesman indicated that Target was subsidizing the price themselves and it was a special agreement between Apple and Target.
Re: Sunset 2G
Makes me laugh. All towers should already have 3g by now. Pretty sad....
Re: How it will work with Employee Discounts?
So would they discount the "Data Pool" & my access line?
