Trying to find a universal program that will work on all phones regardless of manufacturer or carrier, that is reliable, with good customer support, and easy/simple U.I. for transferring all my contacts, ringtones etc.

Re: need help transfering to new phone
The corporate store around here is worse than worthless. I was told a while back, by someone who I am unfortunately no longer in contact with, that not only is it possible to transfer games, ringtones, and pictures; but he had actually done it with his phone. So I know it's possible, I know the software exists, I just need to find it.

Re: Which carrier is best?
i dont know seattle specifically but i think cing is better than vzw for several reasons,
cing has digital network :) vzw has almost no digital network, meaning its mostly an analog  network
over the last 2 yrs vzw has not been upgrading at the same pace w/ other companies like sprint & cing. so while these others have been investing large amounts of money in their networks & improving their cust care ...

Re: sprint/nextel merger
Rich Brome said:
It's a possibility. Nextel has been thinking about moving to CDMA for some time. Also, Sprint has excess spectrum capacity that would fit nicely with Nextel's customer base.
While a lot of people talk about QChat, one aspect of it that most people don't realize is that QChat requires 1xRTT revision A... Sprint only has 1xRTT revision 0, and so far their announced plans are to jump straight to EV-DV.
In the end, it comes down to Nextel being ...
Re: sprint/nextel merger
i know they operate on completely different systems, but i also heard that nextel is trying to switch to CDMA, also i heard this from someone in the cell biz, so i thought someone in the biz might have some inside info, that's the only reason i gave it any credibility at all
sprint/nextel merger
i saw the other threads about various possible mergers, but there was no direct answer. i would like to hear anybody's opinion but what i'm REALLY looking for is a DIRECT ANSWER as to whether or not this could really happen
