Re: GPS mapping solution on N75
No built-in. Works fine with most bluetooth GPSs.
Re: GPS mapping solution on N75
It will work just fine. I'm using several progs (smart2go, TomTom, MGmap) with my N73 and they work great. It's basically the same OS.
Re: I got to play with an N75 Today. WOW!!!
Dude, are you on something?!? 8O
I mean, what makes a phone "advanced" for you? Fun lights? :D
Lemme see...
Can you read a PDF file on the SYNC/KRZR?
Can you run TomTom nav proggy on the SYNC/KRZR?
Can you install any applications that can access the phone's file system on SYNC/KRZR?
Can you bear watching the videos you take with the SYNC/KRZR?
How about picture quality?
How about the crappy sound quality through cable if you DON'T ...
Re: im tired of waiting
I wasn't impressed with the speed on the V3xx. For some reason it had worse latencies than my N73. Even though the N73 is only EDGE it felt faster to browse the web on it. Most of where I travel is EDGE only so for the next couple of years good EDGE performance is all I care about.
It seems from test by N75 owners that it can actually max out on EDGE network at 385 kbps which is ...

Doubtful that is the reason for the hold up, and still makes no sense whatsoever.
It makes perfect sense to me that some MS lawyers would be behind the hold up. :D

I'm so ready to switch to the v3xx if this doesn't come out soon.
You don't want to do that, trust me.
Re: What kind of Web browser does the V3xx have?
That's the factory built-in browser? What version?
What kind of Web browser does the V3xx have?
Is it any better than the original V3's poor wap browser?
How is the Java VM on it? Heap size?
Re: N75 will not be in U.S. market until April!
Yeah, but how is the Web browser on the V3xx? Speed alone is of not much use without worthwhile apps to utilize it...
Can this phone suspend Java apps while doing something else?
My Razr can do this and I found it quite handy as I frequently have to interrupt my browsing. I'm looking for a phone to use on Cingular with better speed and higher screen resolution that can hopefully do suspend to save me time when reading long web articles. So can it?
Re: Torn between Samsungs A707, Blackjack, and Z620
I got the A707. Tried the Blackjack too. Get the BJ for what you've described. Same camera and fast processor as the A707 but has true multitasking. A707 can't suspend Java apps. For this reason you can't continue a web session. BJ can. The 707 built-in Netfront browser will choke on larger pages Opera Mini eats for breakfast. I also doesn't save cookies properly if you want to stream via Orb. You'll need to log in every time. Better ...
Re: $$$$ PRICEEE
I got it for free with unlimited data plan.
Re: Camera Shutter Sound (How to disable it...)
There is no way to kill but you can lower the volume to the lowest and it's very quiet then. Easiest is to put phone on "Airplane" profile while taking picutres.
Re: Issues that I have with the phone
- no way to suspend Java apps? Can't continue games or Opera Mini web session...
- can't pair to BT GPS device (no HID)
- built in Netfront browser chokes on larger pages
- can't even adjust volume once keys are self-locked when phone is closed.
- to set default number for multi number entries you have to type it in again ?!?
- no POP client
- only 4 shortcuts? Even my poor Razr has dozens of them for almost anything!
- What, no subwoofers?!? ...
Re: A Case, My Kingdom For a Case!
For now I got the SPH-A900 case from Krusell. Should fit pretty good.
Re: Samsung A707 (SYNC) vs N75
The A707 would be awsome if not for a few shortcomings:
- can't suspend Java apps: with all the memory it has why on earth not implement it? With the speed, the screen and the built-in browser (+Opera Mini) it begs to be the perfect portable mini web platform. On my Razr I just close the flip when I gotta stop and it automatically suspends any Java app. Easy to continue where I left off.
- no HID protocol in ...
Calling Card setup possible?
Is it possible to setup the usage of a calling card on a V400 ? My old Nokia had a feature where I could enter the access number then account # plus pin then the number to call and store it. Anything like that on the V400 or any tricks to do this ? Can you enter a pause code for example?
