Voice Dialing Prompt Too Loud
When I activate Voice Dialing the prompt comes through the speaker which is fine until you hold it to your ear and them it is deafening. Anybody know how to turn that off?
Re: Button Remapping - lack of choices in i760 - suggestions?
Go get this program: "Spb Pocket Plus 4.0.2 ". You can find it at Handster or Handango. It is a great suite of features, including converting your "close" feature to actually stop programs. Meaning, every time you "x" out of something, the application is closed. It also lets you map custom icons to the Today scren, just like a desktop on Windows. Well worth the $29.
Re: voice command works and excellent reception
Too late for me to return for HTC. I'll have to call Samsung
Re: voice command works and excellent reception
I DO get the microphone icon when I activate via bluetooth but I do not get the "connected" tone. I have tried speaking commands when the icon comes on, but it does not work. One time I switched to ring, connected and called via bluetooth and while still on the call, switched back to vibrate. Under those circumstances, the bluetooth kept working fine, with an audible (in my headset) connection tone.
Another question, I have about ...
Re: voice command works and excellent reception
I seem to lose voice command when the phone is set to vibrate and I am on my Bluetooth. No problems when the phone is set to ring. Any ideas?
Bluetooth / Voice command
I cannot seem to get the bluetooth to activate Voice Command when the phone is on "vibrate". It works OK when it is set to ring. Any ideas?
Speed Dial / Custom Icons
Is there a way to put a couple of custom "buttons" or shortcuts on the home ("Today") screen for one touch dialing?
Re: Battery Cover Tab and Charging Stand
Order at Verizon store. If they don't have it at store they will FedEx it right away.
Re: Battery Cover Tab and Charging Stand
Yes. Phone with either battery AND additional battery (either one) in the second slot.
Re: just ordered one for $99
Can you be more specific? I am about to order for $299
Re: Realease Dates ? ! ? ! ?
Where is my 6800??????
Re: Reception
I concur. Had no problems for the first 9 months. Suddenly 2 months ago, my neighborhood and home became dropped call zones and it hasn't changed.
i760 link on Verizon site
The following link comes up when you search "Samsung i760" on Verizon: http://search.vzw.com/?market=05065&q=samsung +i760
It is a "Samsung i760 simulator" although when you click through it it doesn't come up.
Re: Official release date
Do you have the same info re: the 6800?
Re: Is T-Mobile coverage a problem for anyone?
OKC?
Re: Is T-Mobile competative with Verizon on Coverage and data?
Yeah, I suppose that I should take the plunge. I really like the DASH a lot (I understand that in Europe you by phones from retailers and then deal with service providers separately). If Motorola updated the Q (Wi-Fi, etc.), I would probably tough it out with VZW.
If I go through the trial and switch back, I assume that I can take my number there and back with no problem.

Greater Boston Area and weekly business in NYC
Re: Is T-Mobile competative with Verizon on Coverage and data?
Not asking for free. Asking about coverage...Am I limited to T-Mobile cells or is there a reciprocal agreement with other carriers for coverage (domestic)?
Re: Is T-Mobile competative with Verizon on Coverage and data?
I understand that. I am Northeast (got a couple of opinions locally)and Florida and would like europe access as well. Does T-Mobile roam on other GSM networks with no additional cost?
Is T-Mobile competative with Verizon on Coverage and data?
I have been searching for a light QWERTY smartphone with MS exchange capabilities and the HTC Dash looks awesome. I have been to the T-mobile store and played with it. It is easily the best compromise of light and full-function around. Totally pocket-able and very nice in the hand.......
BUT, I can't seem to get comfortable switching from Verizon (Perfect coverage and service...boring phones later than everyone else) to T-Mobile.
What I hear is: spotty coverage and slow data (also best ...

Re: Data Connectivity
Modified How?
Data Connectivity
I cannot find a cable anywhere (Nokia, Verizon, Pantech) to connect this phone for data sync (outlook stuff). Anybody have any ideas?
RAZR V3c Verizon version .02 vs. .03
I love the Razr and I hate what Verizon did to it! Short of flashing with Alltell, can anyone tell me if I can revert to version .02 so that I at least have full sync capability with MPT? If that is possible, what would I loose by doing it?
Voice Dial
Is there any way to get the voice dial feature to DEFAULT to "name dial" to save a step?
Re: Small Light Tri-mode?
Thanks for the reply. Clarify one thing for me please. If I find one with the Verizon software (I assume it is some sort of beta version) will I get FULL Verizon functionality, or will I still get no BREW and WAO?
Re: Small Light Tri-mode?
I still see v810s on ebay. When you activate them on Verizon, are they fully functional???
Small Light Tri-mode?
I am one of the guys who was holding their breath for the Moto V810 on Verizon. It seemed perfect. Do any of you moles out there have any intell on new SMALL tri-mode coming from/for Verizon? I want a 3 ounce phone with decent data compatibility. Camera is optional. I am about to break down and get the V265, but frankly it feels like a brick and has a tiny screen and everyone says the camera is not ...

Calendar Sync???
I noticed that DataPilot has come out with a new software package for the 6100 that DOES NOT include calendar sync, which is available for the 6000.
Does anybody know if the 6100 will be able to calendar sync with the Verizon office kit or some other software?
No calendar sync is a deal breaker for me>
SAR Radiation rating
Has anybody else noticed that this phone has an unusually LOW radiation number:
"Meets FCC SAR limit. Manufacturer's highest FCC reported SAR 0.96 at ear, 0.60 on body. Actual SAR may vary."
The quote is from Verizon. I have not seen another phone under 1.00 for either category. I guess that is another reason to like this phone...unless I am missing something
Data cable / Mobile office
Has anyone sync'd this phone with a pc. Specifically, can outlook's calendar/datebook be sync'd with the 6100's calendar?
Re: Data Cable for 6100
Do you know if the 6100 can sync with the datebook/calendar of Outlook? Can the 7000? Can the 6000?
Japanese market phones
I have been to a site that claims to sell Japanese market phones by Motorola and claims that they are compatible with Verizon. There are some pretty amazing phones on this site...expensive but awfully cool. Can they really be activated by Verizon in the USA? Here is the link:

Calendar SYnc
:? One question. Can this phone be synchronized with Outlook's CALENDAR?? I know about phonebook sync, but I want datebook-calendar compatability.
Anyone have an idea what the smallest Tri-mode for Verizon is that CAN sync the calendar?
V810 on Verizon
I just got this response from Moto on the V810 from Verizon. Does this mean that it hasn't been tested and could be?
Thank you for contacting Motorola e-mail support, we appreciate your request.
Regarding your request, the availability of the different Motorola phones also depends on the service provider that will be working with the phone; every Motorola launched phone has to meet the expectations of the service provider, and according to the information we have, the v810 ...
Re: Outlook Sync
I have not gotten any responses. My research has yielded questionable results. The Verizon guys say, no problem, just buy the data cable (which is hard to find). But the Samsung people have have never confirmed the ability to sync scheduled events (they are all confident about syncing address book listing). So far, Motorola is the only Co. that definitely has this capability, unfortunately the T720, while an incredibly advanced interface and customizable phone, sucked at ...
Outlook Sync
Does anyone know if this phone is capable of syncing its CALENDAR feature with Outlook's? I am not as concerned with phone #s as I am with scheduled events and alarms. I had the T720 and was syncing with Motorola Starfish cable but that phone was too awful to keep. I am back on my Startac and trying to find the smallist phone that will keep my schedule from Outlook.
