I have the taskiller widget which i use a lot, upon checking my battery use, it's at 3% taskiller. is that a lot? the only other non default program is brower at 11%. Display is 70% so obviously that is the main culprit.

I've gotten a few cash tips in my time in sales, however one customer hagled with me for hours over phones and acc. pricing, saved about $35 overall and then when i explained that the discounts i was giving him on phones was coming out of my commission he gave me a $20 tip?@!?!? Now i appreaciate the tip but save us both the trouble and just pay regular price. instead of wasting hours of my time.

I'd wait and see a few reviews of the reception and call quality first this is where nokia always falls short, cause they refuse to buy the damn Qualcom Chips.

did you notice how thin this phone is, that is the main reason the "manufacture" will put a 2.5 vs 3.5 to save space.

I read that This plan could be required on certain Web enable/non-pda phones, as early as next year. maybe that's the reason for the announcement. although, technically this plan has been around for a while just now being advertised/talked about, because of the upcoming change.

I love the people that come up and toss the phones around, while tring to flip a slider so hard that it breaks then complain because we dont' have live phones on display... at the same time little johnny is down on the other end throwing around phones. we have our phones and a "zip line" thing and kids just grab and pull then let go and the phones go flying around.

Re: Coverage
Jun 28, 2008, 1:07 PM
in the Verizon forum

What you can tell about from coverage maps is the overall effort that is put into the coverage, and a general idea there are going to be specifics in every area and that is why there is a 30 day free trial but overall verizon spends more time and $$$$ on the Network and coverage than the other nationwide carriers outthere. and yes verizon originally didn't have a lot of spectrum to go around, but after a lot ...

to make it more simple if you haven't received a phone discount in the last 12 months and are on a plan $49.99 or higher and wiling to sign a new 2 year aggreement from that date, you are eligible to receive the 2year contract price on a new phone with a $20 Annual Upgrade charge. this can be done at most locations, just go in and have then look up your account use the term annual upgrade ...

Re: America's Choice or Nationwide plan?
Jun 23, 2008, 5:04 PM

The main problem i have with the nationwide plan is that it bills for browsing GET IT NOW like someone said before AC used minutes but not on the nights and weekends and it was only a few minutes. 1 browse a month is $1.99. Plus, They don't offer the $59.99 Family share 500 mintues on the nation wide plan which is what i have!!

Re: Premium Pricing Compatible?

Let me help clear this up. B4 the $30 BB plan came around the only tether option was $15. this worked fine because $45+$15 = $60. However poor training on the new plan and the new combonations, created a few account mistakes. I know for a fact that many customers were signed up with the $30 +$15 tether package. My account rep says if these accounts are found they will either removed the ...

the rebate can be filled out online, but you still have to send in proof of purchase,IE. UPC barcode and receipt. however, filling out your rebate online speeds up the overall process and gives you a great way to track your rebate.

Re: Replacement strategy from VX8300
Apr 28, 2008, 9:28 PM
in the Verizon forum

well why do you want a new phone is the question? Cuz it sounds like that phone is working fine. However, if you were to have a problem with that phone and needed to replace it the obvious anser is the 8350, just and update to the 8300, or there are a few phones being talked about the 8610...(i believe this one has the bluetooth built in the back), there is a flip phone coming with music ...

in the Article: FCC Reveals Casio's Boulder forum

the thing with looks is, they make the phone look like what it does so if it's supposed to be durable and they make it big like they if they made it thin and dainty everyone would say that looks like it would break...kinda like the prius...sure it's a hybrid car but does it have to be ugly / futuristic. they are trying to point out the differences not only with features but also with looks.

Re: Universal Chargers
Apr 27, 2008, 7:15 PM

i bet 2-3 years after they MicroUSB is standard on the majority of phones they will come out with a smaller one, or a faster one. plus noone really has a microUSB yet so now everyone will come in to get one with their new phones. plus this is standard on some digi camera's and MP3 players, now we carry chargers for those too, look at that market, to sell too!

Re: Text Block
Apr 24, 2008, 9:59 PM
in the Verizon forum

yes it has been a great answer for parents with bad behavior teenagers, and you may mis out on some calls that are out of the norm. because of the block. but if this is possible give it a year and you'll be able to save specific numbers that cannot be called are recieved.

Re: don't sell the 39.99 data plan
Apr 24, 2008, 9:54 PM
in the Verizon forum

I don't believe there is a cap on the Smartphone/PDA plans however because of the way the phone accesses the network it would be difficult/almost impossible to use more than 5gb, however if your useing the $30 tether package with your phone connected to the laptop as a modem then yes the 5 GB limit applies.

Re: Text Block
Apr 24, 2008, 9:41 PM

check out some new phones you can set it up so that it onlyl allows #'s that are in your contact list. therefore blocking all other numbers. not perfect but better than what's out there.

Re: Which phone to upgrade to and what to change in my plan?
Apr 24, 2008, 9:37 PM
in the Verizon forum

For the env to handle outlook you need a GIN download, wireless sync, runs $20/month plus you'll need the Vcast/Internet $15/month so the BB might be cheaper. As for your plan you may want to separate your self from the family plan and go with unlimted calling/text for $119.99/month + $30/month for the BB Data/internet = $150/month (1 line) $80.00/month (other 3 lines). or you can keep your family share and go with the $130 primary plan ...

Re: Text Block
Apr 23, 2008, 9:02 PM

well the system won't do it but certain phones will allow you to block/ restrict Text and calls. go into your phone menu go to settings and tool...... security (the code should be the last 4#'s of your phone number unless you changed it.) then go to restrictions. Some phones have the option where you can only allow incoming or outgoing to the contact list. this may solve your problem. If your phone doesn't have that ...

Re: VZW employees! Please help!!
Apr 22, 2008, 7:30 PM
in the Verizon forum

when you port your number your sprint phone will stay active till your vzw phone is activated. and your VZW phone will not activate till you recieve it in the mail and call in. so this option might still work. The other option is go to a "Good" indirecet agent most of the time they will offer multiple exchanges during the 30 days.
