If it's anything like the 3585, then all you need to do is take out the battery, put it back in, and slide up the little silver slide that is against the battery, near the bottom of the phone. We had DOA 3585s all the time til we figured that out, the slide can get loose and disconnect the battery. Let me know if that helps at all, i don't know any other tricks!

At least for the US Cellular version, you can get notification that you have a new message. go to the message submenu, then message alerts. you can set different sounds, or even ringers, for emails, voicemails, and text messages. you can also make it vibrate. to use a ringtone, just go to 'custom ringtone and it will go through the ringers you have in your phone. hope that helps a little

Unfortunately, no. You can set it to manner mode (vibrate but no ring) or vibrate then ring at high volume only. which is about the only feature of the LGs that I don't care for

Actually, we have a huge demand for Nokias here. Many customers come up and ask "is this the only Nokia you have?" (which is currently the 3586, soon to be replaced with the 3587). That particular phone has worked where other lower-end models do not, especially in rural areas. They also rarely come back for service. So Nokia has been good to US Cellular, and I, for one, hope we get in some new models cuz ...

Actually, in order to send a pic to another PMS-enabled phone, all you have to do is enter the CTN, you don't need the "mms.usc.net" stuff. you only need to enter that if you are emailing the pic from a computer to a PMS phone. Just an FYI!

US Cellular will probably get this phone as well- we carried the VX3100, and LG has done very well for us. The VX3200 looks great, should work well for those customers who want a flip phone simply for its size.
Kyocera SE44
I just heard we are testing out the Kyocera SE44 for US Cellular. I came on phonescoop to check it out but it's not on here. I assume it's a slider style phone like the SE47, anyone know anything more about it?
