Re: help with school blocking

I know this is old, but I have the same issue. I work at a different school and they block everything. Websites I use with students, websites I access to download materials for my students, or to order new materials for my students, and my private e-mail (which I mostly use for work related e-mail, etc. I got a Mifi which I hang out the window. Then I can get internet on my laptop, enabling ...

Re: new phone with wifi hotspot

I have had nothing but trouble with the Mifi I have now. My issues are with the hardware and Virgin Mobile's tech support. As much as I like the device it is broken more frequently than it works. They are both Mifi2200 made by Novatell [sp], so I would assume it would have the same issues. You only get 2gb for $20? That is useless. I don't know what I will do. I thought ...

Re: Broadband2Go USB device or MiFi?

I've had a MIFI2200 Less or more since this fall. The first one came broken, it couldn't hold a signal. Exchanged it at Walmart. The second one worked albeit slowly for about 2 months. Occasionally it would drop the signal or have to be reset but it worked. The signal is slow, but usable. Then, starts Virgin Mobile Hell! That device broke in early December. They sent me a replacement which ...

new phone with wifi hotspot
Dec 31, 2010, 2:42 PM
in the Verizon forum

I am beginning to shop for my next phone. I am still using my old G'Zone type s. I love the 2 week battery life (after almost 4 years), the signal strength (I can get calls where no one else can), and clutzproofnes (I tend to put phones in the washing machine). I don't generally text. I need a mobile hotspot. I have been using the mifi with unlimited usage from Virgin Mobile, but the customer ...

question re batterey life
Mar 18, 2004, 11:48 AM
in the LG VX-4500 forum

I have traded in my first 4500 due to a slew of reasons, ( I believe it was used too), anyway they gave me back the same battery with the new phone. The new phone appears to work fine, except the battery life. I only get 30-36 hours of standby time. During this time I made about 2-3 calls of less than a minute. I have a signal of about 3 bars in my home, and a better ...

training voice
Mar 12, 2004, 9:23 AM
in the LG VX-4500 forum

I just got this phone yesterday. I went to train commands, turned it on, and it said applying training, but I never did anything except turn it on. I must say it recognized my voice better after I turned it off, but I am wondering if it was supposed to give me words to say like the training numbers part did. I am suspicious about this phone, as that didn't work, and the little plastic protector wasn't ...
