The menu usually appears in the lower left corner, or other corners depending on the app. It looks like 3 little squares stacked vertically. Could be, it's just a matter of figuring out how to use this new fangled device. I know it took me a while with the Razm M.

And try using the Smart Actions...they really help save data. And make the phone act in different ways depending where you are, and the time of day.

Accessing SD card storage
Oct 10, 2012, 9:48 AM
in the Motorola Droid RAZR M / Luge forum

Has anyone had trouble accessing the SD card in order to store backup, or to move files? Whenever I run MyBackupPro, I select the option to store on SD card, but it ends up in internal storage of the device. Same with Gobackup. I can access the SD drive externally when I plug into a computer, so i can see that the backups are not there. As far as I can tell, the only way to add things to the SD ...

Re: Pearl Flip no complaints

in the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 forum

LG-- I have to agree with you about the Pearl Flip. It does everything very well. I had been waiting for the new Tour to come out, but once I tried this phone out, I loved it. Since I keep it in my pocket, I like the flip rather than the bar type; with the 8130, I'd keep accidently making calls with the phone in my pocket. The video display/live TV and internet work ...

Re: Poll--who's happy with the Verizon V9M?
Sep 12, 2007, 8:56 PM
in the Motorola RAZR2 V9m forum

I decided I must have gotten a bad Razr2, so I exchanged it for a new one. There's a big difference in the performance of the new one. Much better (just about perfect) call clarity and reception, no call dropping, no "breaking-up", and better battery life. So far so good with my replacement Razr2. I really like the looks, and the beautiful screens, and the mobile mail feature, which works great with AOL and MSN mail. ...

in the Motorola RAZR2 V9m forum

I actually really like the other features, and the way it looked. Besides the call dropping, I didn't like the call clarity on either end. I figured that since this phone is so new, best not risk another bad phone. Just like when the original Razr came out, it took a few months to work out lots of the problems. That's the problem with trying to have the latest in technology.

in the Motorola RAZR2 V9m forum

The phone is gorgeous. Wonderful to look at. And the inside screen is beautiful--maybe the best I've even seen. But, maybe I just got a bad one, but I cannot hear people as clearly as I did on the Krzr. And they say the phone keeps breaking up on their end. And lots of dropped calls. So, for now, I give Moto an A+++ for looks, and F for substance. I'll stick with my Krzr for now.

Any problems with dropped calls?
Sep 11, 2007, 4:15 PM
in the Motorola RAZR2 V9m forum

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of dropped calls with the Razr2? I have made several calls to someone on a landline while sitting in my office, with full signal, and for no apparent, the call went silent on both ends. It would work fine for a few minutes, then the calls would get dropped. Is this just a bad phone I got, or are others having this problem. I called Verizon, and they suggested making sure ...

Re: iPhone Review is Up!!!

Did you all read Newsweek Magazine's glowing review of the Iphone? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19444948 /site/newsweek/site/newsweek/ I'm a Verizon customer of over 8 years, and have never owned an Apple Computer. But I must get this new Iphone! The reviewer was amazed that without even looking at a manual, he was able to surf the internet, make calls, play music, etc. It was that easy. Much easier than blackberries, or other smart phones with lots of functions, but are very difficult ...

in the Motorola RAZR maxx Ve forum

Grover-- I tried the Maxx, and didn't care for it much. It does have a pretty good Vibrate mode, and speakerphone isn't bad. But, the Krzr looks much more refined, and built better, and is lighter. If I were you, I'd try to wait for the Razr 2, which is supposed to be thinner, lighter and stronger, and have lots more battery life. You might have to wait months for it, though. Check out the Krzr if you ...

Re: Phone with best reception
Mar 5, 2007, 11:05 AM
in the Verizon forum

I've used the E815, the LG8600, and currently the KRZR. I've found that the Motorolas in general get better reception. The KRZR is the best so far; I can get service in areas of Chicago that I could not get a good signal on with the LG8600. I've brought both phone to the same location at the same time; the LG would show no signal; the Krzr would show 1 bar, and I could make the call ...

Another vote here for the LG 8300. I've tried most of the others, and none is as good as the LG 8300 for reception and call quality. The only one that comes close is the Moto V325, which is not bad.

Re: New Every 2 time: Which phone should I get? Razr or ?????
Jul 17, 2006, 3:59 PM
in the Verizon forum

I'd stay away from the Razr. The novelty of it wears off in about a week, and you're stuck with a lousy phone. The LG8300 is great. Also, the Moto V325 is fine too.

Re: * Cingular*
Jul 7, 2006, 9:25 AM
in the Verizon forum

Neither JD Powers, or Consumer Reports concur that Cingular has the fewest dropped calls. CR has Verizon rated best in most cities, with Cingular's best showing in a city was third place. In JD Power, Tmobile and Verizon were both rated ahead of Cingular in all areas of the country in "least dropped calls. Cingular offers little proof that they have the "fewest dropped calls." Check out this news article in which they examined Cingular's misleading claim. http://www.boston.com/business/articl es/2006/04/23/the_fewest_dropped_calls/

I have to agreee with the others. I've had the Razr, and HATED it within a week. The LG8300 is Verizon's best in just about every way.

I don't know all the legalities of this, but I think you are NOT being unreasonable to expect to get a phone that works. 4 phones is enough--they should give you a diff. model. It only seems fair, and to Verizon's reputation, that they satisfy you, honor "worry free" guarantees. You've played the game long enough. At least, let you buy a new phone at the 2yr promo price. My next door neighbor is having the ...

First of all, stay away from the Razr! I had it, and hated it. My neighbor also got it, and is on his 4th one now and hates it. If I were you, I'd wait for the 8300. It will be a bit lighter, thinner, and look nicer. They are holding off release till they run low on the 8100's. Should be ready within a couple of weeks. In addition to the features of the ...

VZ NAVIGATOR is a great feature, currently only available in the Moto V325, which I have. It woulds like the the $1000 GPS Navigator systems available in expensive cars, or like Hertz's "NeverLost" system. This feature allows you to let the phone give your step by step directions from your location, to wherever you're going. It will show you a map, show you where your next turn is, and call it out, e.g. "turn left in .5 miles at ...

in the Motorola V323 / V325 / V323i / V325i forum

I think you gotta just keep checking with Verizon. If I find out they've added that, I will surely post it here. If you got your phone more than a few months ago, there could be some software updates you don't have yet that might correct some bug or add a function, so you might want to check your software version now. I know that the vibrate/ring feature is not yet available.

Re: Ring and Vibrate?

There is no way to get the phone to ring and vibrate at the same time, in spite of the fact it says you can do it in the manual. Motorola and Verizon are working on a software update that will hopefully allow this function. When the software update is available, you can update your phone for free at a verizon store.

I checked my account online, to see what it would cost to upgrade my phone to the V325. It shows $2,199.99 without a contract! It's got to be wrong, but it's on VZW's website. (I know you can get them new on Ebay for around $150)

Re: Verizon Communications and Verizon Wireless, NOT THE SAME THING!!!

One correction (I admit when I make a mistake), currently Vodaphone has a 40% stake in Verizon's Wireless division. Verizon is in the process of buyout out Vodaphone's stake. In any event, VZW is included in the phone records released to the govt.

Such misinformation. Verizon wireless is a 100% owned division of Verizon Communications. Don't believe me? Check out this description of Verizon under there stock symbol. VZ: http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/res earch/profile.asp?symbol=VZ Also, near the end of the USA today article, it specifically mentions that wireless customers are included, bring the total number of customers affected to 200 million. Whether you agreee it's OK for them to release the phone records against the law (as Qwest believes), please get the fact straight that VZW ...

May 12, 2006, 11:13 AM

I would like to know the same thing. I signed up with Verizon assuming my records will be kept private, unless the govt gets a warrant for having probable cause that I did something illegal. I really hate the idea that Verizon and AT&T are selling the last 3 years of phone records to the US govt without any kind of warrant for every single customer. Every call we ever made is itemized. Do the other ...

All I know is that it's a Nokia candy bar type phone, which I don't see in the current lineup. When I see him, I will check out the phone myself. The phone I am giving him allows copying to sim card. I don't know what kind of phone plan he's on, but, I would think he'd be able to upgrade the phone by now. Thanks for the help.

How do you move contacts to new phone?
Mar 13, 2006, 12:37 PM
in the AT&T forum

A friend of mine has a Cingular phone, and has about 200 contacts entered on his phone. His phone is pretty beat up, so I am planning to give him my old Cingular phone which is still in great shape. Does that sim card contain all the contacts, or just primary contacts? How many contacts can fit on the sim card. And, how do you move all those contacts over to a new phone? Thanks for ...

in the Article: Possible Defect Has Stores Waiting For New Shipment of RAZRs forum

Just another example of Motorola's poor quality control. Motorola makes great phones--but it's hit or miss whether you get one that works well or not. I know so many Cingular customers who are on their 3rd or 4th Razr due to problems.

Re: This should be fun
Mar 7, 2006, 12:58 PM

I'd stay stay away from the Razr, unless you rarely use your cell phone. Something like the E815 is far superior, though less sexy. Much better battery life, calls are clearer, and much easier to use keypad.

Re: Current Verizon Cell Phone Offerings
Mar 2, 2006, 11:52 PM

It's amazing that all of us pretty much narrowed the choice down to the LG V4650 and the Moto V325. Both are good choices. Be sure to try them out in the store to see which feels and sounds best for you. By the way, the car charger for the Moto V60 is diff. from the V325. But, the V325 comes with it's own home/travel charger using the a USB port. But, the headsets are the same.

Re: VX6100 Battery Problem

I had 2 LG 6100's at the same time in my family. One of my 6100's did the same thing, the other did not. The phone would often power itself off as soon as I took the charger out. It would also power itself off for no apparent reason, even though the battery was fully charged. I think the problem was a phone defect, not a battery problem. I ended up just getting another ...

I loved the V6100 too. I liked the style, size, the good volume, and call quality. Of the LG's, the 4650 is very good. The speakerphone volume is about the best I've seen, so, if you don't care about a camera or bluetooth, this is a good option. The screen isn't that great, though. The Moto V325 also is a great option. It's stylish, nice screen, great reception and call clarity, decent camera, no bluetooth. I'd ...

Re: Current Verizon Cell Phone Offerings
Mar 2, 2006, 11:35 AM

The LG 4650 is a very good phone--speakerphone is esp. good on that. Earpiece volume is good, too. The Moto E815 is probably the best phone as far as reception and call quality, and earpiece volume is excellent. It's great, but it's kind of big----it's not sleek like the V60. So the 4.5 oz. size may be an issue; it took me a while to get past that. The big size can be advantage when actually using ...

Please write back and let us know how Tmobile works out for you. Where I live, in a big city, about a year ago I tried Tmobile for about a week. It would have been a lot cheaper for me. But the service (meaning call quality and network) were not anywhere near what I was used to with Verizon. I cancelled T-mobile and stayed with VZW. But, I know in lots of surveys, Tmobile comes out ...

I have a couple of Verizon phones that I no longer use. Probably the best is the LG 6100. I have the charger and manual and original box. The phone is probably around 18 months old, and looks and works great. I'm not looking to profit from the selling it. Contact me if interested, and let me know what you intend to use for--is this for charitable use, prepaid acct, or whatever. I would probably ...

I got my V325, also brand new from and Ebay merchant. This merchant had about 70 left at a buy-it-now price of about $50 less than at Verizon. It had never been activated, so I had to call Verizon on the phone to activate it (could not do it online). Verizon rep said it qualifies for the one year warranty, and can be serviced at their stores. The only thing it doesn't have is the 15 ...

The E815 is Verizon's best quality phone
Feb 24, 2006, 5:08 PM
in the Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood forum

Always wanting to get the latest and greatest, I got the Razr shortly after it came out, and the Moto V325. Both are great phones. Both are a nice size, and very cool. The E815 is bigger than I'd like, and "not cool", but, for call clarity, volume, and reception, I have found none to beat the E815. Having dependable excellent sound quality, getting good reception anywhere, and good battery life trump the obvious strong points of ...
