RadioShack (RSH) will focus instead of remodeling some of its existing properties and rebranding."

Few things: "Hispanic" technically refers to people from Spain (or that region), although it is now used as a catchall for anyone born in or has ancestry from a Spanish-speaking country (usually based in the Western Hemisphere) In addition, since the term is indeed a catchall for a person with ancestry tied to a Spanish-speaking country, that encompasses a LOT of different people i.e. diversity. And when you said "there are many more diverse populations in the U.S.", which populations were you ...

I use Hipstamatic Oggl. http://hipstamatic.com/oggl/ It gives you the option to share the photos taken with the application with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. It actually has several types of scenes for the type of picture that you want to take, and it also has different "lenses" and filters to use to take the pictures with. It's a GREAT app.

"Practically all"? If that were the case, then why would a store like this even be conceived? "Required"? English has yet to be an official language of the U.S., so I do not know what you mean by that. "Stereotypical shopping patterns" What stereotypical shopping patterns are you referring to?

What does that have to do with anything of what I said? There are a lot of people that speak Spanish in this country; she made a store for those that speak Spanish, but you can also speak English and shop there. That's waaaaaaaaay different from what I've heard from my friends in NY about some of the other stores and restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in Bensonhurst.

Re: "Cater To" =/= Exclusivity

You DO know that "Hispanics" also includes people with white skin, correct? "Cater: Provide with what is needed or required." She saw that there needed to be a cell phone store that was BILINGUAL (i.e that speaks both English and Spanish) and she filled that need. So if J. Lo had not said that she was "catering" to Spanish-speaking people, would that have made a difference? I really do not see how it is "racist": she is not discriminating against anyone (discrimination or ...

That logic is ridiculous. There are plenty of European and British stores and restaurants in North America. Does that mean that a Black/African-American, Latino, or Asian cannot be a patron in their establishments? Unless they explicitly say otherwise, then no.

There are about 400,000 spanish speaking people in Brooklyn. Plus, Brooklyn itself is the most populous of the Five Boroughs, so it makes sense to open a store there. I highly doubt that only "Latinos" will shop there. Lol.

I can finally upgrade from my myTouch 4G. It's odd though: some T-Mobile stores are already selling the Q10 to consumers. One T-Mobile store I called said that they already started selling the Q10 to non-biz customers, while another said that they have not started selling them.

So Jennifer Lopez's company is also allegedly targeting Asian, Black, and European illegal immigrants as well, correct? Since you are using the term illegal immigrants, then the people at her stores would have to be multilingual, if your original statement of ”she's targeting illegal immigrants” rings true. However, I did not get that from the article, so maybe there is something that I'm missing.

Re: Why?
May 23, 2013, 3:16 PM

No, it is ignorance, because you are basing your opinions about another "ethnic" group on the interactions betwen you and the people where YOU live. That does not make it a "reality". I live in Texas, and guess what? There are so-called "Hispanics" that speak English and some that do not. There are some Asians that speak English and some that do not. The difference? I do not generalize other "ethnic" groups based on those interactions.

The megapixels for the most part do not make a huge difference in the quality of picture. If a 2 MP camera has a better sensor than a 12 MP camera, the 2 MP camera will usually take better pictures. Besides, the human eye cannot notice the difference in megapixels after about 5-6 MP.

Like you did with your statement? Lol. Schooly D's "P.S.K. (What Does It Mean?)" (1985) was the first gangsta rap song. "P.S.K" stands for "Park Side Killers", which was a gang that Schooly D associated himself with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4478S MAc2qM The beat and the rhyming pattern would greatly influence Ice T's "6 In The Morning", which would in turn influence N.W.A.
